I read a car numberplate and remember it for a very long time. I pick up on spelling errors to the point I was known as "The Human Dictionary" when I was younger. In the pattern on my ceiling I notice shapes and holes. I'd say I have a good eye for detail.

My parents had their bathroom retiled last year. One of the tiles is slightly different from the rest - not a different batch, actually a slightly different design, which I've noticed reflects the light in a different way to the others. No-one else has spotted it - I know my parents would mention it. I'll never raise it, as my mum will be annoyed and want it changed, but if she doesn't know, she won't mind.

No, I don't have attention to detail, unless I think about it. For example, if I want to buy a door with a fancy doorhandle, I would look at all the doorhandles on the doors and pick out the best detail I want what I will know will suit my house. But if I'm just knocking at a door, I don't notice the doorhandle and where it is. I've been to one of my friend's house like 500 times now and I always say how much I like her door, but, speaking of doors, I've only just realised at this very second that I've never noticed her doorhandle on the door, or what colour the door-knocker has.

That is only an example, I don't just mean it on doors.

I have a great eye for detail when it comes to patterns...also while I'm in the car I have the urge to look at every advert, read every shop name, look at every numberplate etc. I can also pick out spelling errors very easily.I not only notice details visually, but if I'm in a shop I will sometimes notice the song that's playing long before everyone else. Does anyone else do this?

However, due to a lot of sensory input I can miss out very obvious details e.g in an exam paper I will skip important words and get focused on other ones that grab my attention.
