I think I have that too, but perhaps not to a phobic stage. Like Mr. Xxx said, it's just wrong. BTW I Googled lotus seed pod and woman's breast. Ack! 8O
Peeling paint also drives me nuts. It needs to be smooth, dammit.

yes, i pick at it! rust holes drive me nuts too. also, holes in t-shirt material. hard to decibe, but the edges of the holes make me feel sick.

@hyperlexian-That T shirt photo creeps me out. Maybe this ties in with our love of ordered pattern. For example, how does this make you feel in comparison?

These pictures don't drive me as nuts as if I were there in person. I'd love to pick off all of that fruit, peel that paint off, and stick my fingers in those t-shirt holes. I also get the urge when I'm standing in line at a store and the person in front of me has a loose hair or a piece of string attached to their shirt. Luckily, I've been able to pick them off without being noticed. It's like bubble wrap. You can't NOT pop it.

The picture showing the whole tree makes my skin crawl.

Fourth picture down: Mardi Gras beads. :)

Also wondering what the fruit tastes like.

I like the ordered maze pattern too.

In contrast, how do these trees make you feel?

Jaboticabas! I forgot about them. When I was a kid (about 6 years old), a friend of my mother used to babysit me and her house had some of those trees, even though São Paulo, the state where I live, is about 580 kilometers away from Minas Gerais, where the jaboticabas come from.

But I never liked the fruits. In fact, the only fruits I like are apples, pears and bananas. :P

I don't think it's disgusting. I think it is quite interesting, actually.

I relate a lot to this series of posts.

The peeling paint and t-shirt full of holes makes me want to grit my teeth in frustration.

The tree makes me want to remove all the fruit.

Get that thing out of the yard right now! Cut it down! it will scare the dogs. Plus it's grossing me out!

I can't stand stuff that should be peeled. I always peel my scabs, and will peel others scabs too if they let me. I also like to peel sunburn peel off of people. I will get a sunburn on purpose just so I can peel it off. I LOVE peeling sumburn.
