Sorry man. It's just that this topic comes up soooo much, it's gotten tiresome really.

Not to mention that the tired old argument that society is just wrong and being Autistic is right, doesn't solve a damned thing. I didn't say you are boring, by the way. The topic though, is. And I am pretty boring at the moment, so point taken. It's all good 'cause I just don't care all that much right now.

It's just so refreshing for me to speak with like minded people after so long of suffering in silence. There are more me's out there feeling the same way I do which makes me feel less lonely.

i may have already explained (maybe it didnt post?) that NT folk and society are quite ignorant about AS and their judegemental attitude is a major downer for us. I really believe that AS Is a blessing that gives us the ability to function on a higher level and that we should be playing a key role in running society as we are original and alternative thinkers who are vulnerable so tend to end up getting abused and pinned down for being strange

Anyway, this thread is pointless. Not all people with Aspergers think or act the same way, just like all people that don't have Aspergers think or act the same way. So sometimes Aspies are right, sometimes Aspies are wrong, and regardless, we're all going to think we're individually right at everything we do.

Oh, anyone who thinks we're on a higher level and should be running society: go do it then. Prove that you're superior and not disabled. Stop making excuses; if you were so highly evolved as you claim you'd be able to work a way past "NT's are mean to me BAWWW".

Look I agree it's a wide subject area and vague and I take your criticism on board but it's just a general objection against society's treatment of aspergers folk so thank you for your pedantic feedback I just thought anyone with aspergers especially with a late diagnosis like I had would get behind the "society is ignorant" complaint. Otherwise I am ever so sorry (I'm not really) for wasting your time and appreciate your feedback (I don't really)

No. AS doesn't explain why the Japanese avoid direct eye contact. Far from it, actually. It has to do with soceital rules. The reason a child in Japan (or sometimes even another adult) doesn't look directly at an adult is because it would be rude. The child is less experienced, and you only look a person in the eye directly in Japan if you are as respected as them (hence the -san at the end of the person's last name, as opposed to -kun or -chan).
