Politics brings out the worst in me when it comes to this.

For gods sakes people socialism is defined as workers control over the means of production for utility! It's not state ownership, it's not welfare, it's not wealth redistribution, it's not authoritarianism, it's a model for workplace democracy.

I'm afraid I have yet to combat my online meltdowns successfully..

Well not only that, but people are selective about their socialism. The right to public education or public libraries, public transit, etc. All socialism.

But this wasn't exactly what the topic was about.

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. And if I feel someone is being corrupt or bending the rules to suit them I best damn see some action about it. And when I do bring something up I shouldn't be the bad guy in the situation.

I do try to walk away, but that's always so so so hard. Because I'm home 24/7 and my main go to is the computer.

Yes, same. I often end up being characterized as the "bad guy" in the situation, unfortunately. I remember one place I lived where my cat failed to use the litter box due to housemates' cat ambushing him at the litter box, so I was told that since he couldn't use the litter box, he had to stay in my room at all times. Meanwhile, those housemates with the cat also had a dog who pooped and pissed everywhere, but they were never asked to keep that dog in their part of the house. I hate that kind of crap.

That's another thing when I have meltdowns being the bad guy. I hate being the bad guy. I hate being classified as the bad guy. I try so hard to defend my honor sometimes that I lose it.

I've got wireless internet so when I get REALLY steamed with someone online, I yank it out and lock it away for a few hours while I calm down. Playing the Sims3 is very theraputic in the meantime for me. I got trolled the other day on Youtube and it was SO tempting to cuss the troll out but I stayed calm and ignored it. I just switched the internet off and read a book instead.
