:-) Glad this is a positive Christmas thread instead of the negative OMG! consumerism idea. :-) I got what I wanted this year! Harry Potter 7 pt. 2 on Blu-Ray!! ! and something I didn't expect an electric fireplace/heater! YA!! !! ! Also everyone liked the gifts I got them!! !! Also my little sister got me a HUGE Wolf blanket I can use as a top sheet now on my Full size bed. It's like 60 x something! HUGE!! !! I love wolves! They are so majestic and pretty! and the fact they can tear you to shreds is awesome too!! !! :-) MERRY CHRISTMAS WP!

Happy Christmas to all.

Mars and I are alone this morning but not lonely. (We're Jewish anyway, so Christmas is no big nostalgia deal) At 14, he has just become enraptured with mountains, and wants to climb them all. My holiday gift is learning we will start a year when he shares my passion for mountains and join the Sierra Club hikes I love and always hoped he would love too. God Bless the Sierra Club for planning thousands of hikes open to the all and peopling them with NTs as well as nerds and geeks who can be happily lonely together and comfortable enough to connect in their own good time.

God Bless us all.

BTW I have noticed conversation with Mars goes a lot better when on a hike with me and with others. I think this is something about rhythmic motor activity organizing the brain. Does anybody know the neuroscience on this?

So for Xmas, all I got was $50, but I think money is the best present I can get in my opinion. :!: I didn't gave much presents either, although I gave more than received rather than the opposite last Christmas. Among the things I gave away was well a water gun, 3 blu ray movies, another DVD movies and an iPod nano. Someone gave me and Amazon gift card as an early Xmas present, so I didn't have to break my (reusable) piggy bank. I was excited but so far it is dryer than the desert. Plus it doesn't snow neither where I am staying or where I live. Great

I know just what you mean. I can't even smile because it just looks false. What am I expected to do?

Thankfully I don't receive to many presents any more and having pretty much managed to avoid family gatherings in recent years, but I do like seeing my children excited.
