"With each new piece of writing, it becomes apparent that John Scott Holman is the Jack Kerouac of the Autistic community", (KenG).
Would you mind providing some context for this statement please?

This was Jack Kerouac:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Kerouac

Both authors' works explore similar themes, such as traveling, alcohol, drugs, religion, friendship, love, sex, loneliness, alienation, individuality, rebelliousness, madness, and prisons.

Both authors write in similarly hectic, rhythmical, stream of consciousness, spontaneous writing styles.

An interesting link between Kerouac and Holman is Bob Dylan, whose lyrical style was greatly influenced by the former and greatly influenced the latter.

Once again, I could not receive a greater compliment.

Reading this and thinking back to my 20s, I can now attest that I dodged more than one bullet and was very, very lucky. Things could have turned very badly against me on numerous occasions, not unlike some of the outcomes noted in the article. I wonder how many times, when we read some news story about a tragedy involving a young person, it may have been a sort of "grand mal meltdown" at work, at the outset of the disaster?

May we all survive into old age.
