I agree that WrongPlanet's more fun because no one tries to pretend we're all best friends that agree about everything. To be honest, I have trouble hanging around fora that aren't of this type, because I love to debate and argue and (yes, let's face it) show off my geeky knowledge if a conversation topic pops up.

To stretch the truth a bit farther, I have word that 95% of all WP correspondance is written by a single 12 year old savant who lives in Macau.

Actually, this entire forum is my fevered, sugar-rush-induced dream.

I must have missed the part about making boomerangs out of beer cans.

You'll need to ask BazzaMcKenzie, but he won't be available for awhile. The World Wildlife Fund just announced a new kangaroo conservation program that consists of providing aussie hunters with unlimited free beer.

Actually, you got it the wrong way around. We make boomerangs out of beer cans, which is the only reason we drink beer - to get the cans.

WWF & kangaroos - lol -rofl

THere are lots of people that want to protect roos. True story: There was a research station operated by Melbourne University & Melbourne Zoo (government run) for bandicoots (burrowing marsupial) that are an endangered species.
Image
The compound was fenced to keep out predators, but it also kept in the roos which bred to unsustainable levels.

WWF & others would not let there be a kangaroo cull within the research compound.

Kangaroos ate all the available cover for the endangered bandicoots and trampled their habitat.

With no cover, eagles predated the whole population of the endangered species while roos in pest proportions everywhere are protected.

I must be getting off topic. I can't remember what the topic was?

Shouldn't you be worried about the frogs?

That's a serious conservation issue because the aussies shoot at anything that hops. Unfortunately none of them are able to hit the rabbits. Steve Irwin was actually killed by a wombat.

I didn't think even Litigious could have that many opinions.
