Dracula from Bram Stoker's novel probably had it. He seemed even more aspie in Hellsing. I have every episode of Hellsing. He's my favorite character.

Should someone spelling "come" like "cum" be judging others?

John Lennon did, you can tell in his songs

I am told Tom Hanks is at least introverted

Are you kidding me? I wouldn't be surprised if Michael Jackson did have AS.

Thomas Edison - no lightbulb
Albert Einstine - what is gravity?
Henry Ford - no motor car
Isaac Newton - poor maths skills
Vincent Van Gogh - no paintings
L S Lowry - no paintings

Bill Gates - No MICROSOFT!! !

Hans Asperger - no aspergers!! !
Alexander Graham Bell - no telephone

Where would we be without us autistics? Stuck back in the 17th Century without no telephones, cars or light. And if we got that far then where would Microsoft be?

For my celebrity spot-the-aspie contribution I usually trot out Andrew Lloyd Webber. I'm quite suprised that no one (as far as I know) has put this suggestion forward, considering what a public figure he is, but he and and family seem very definitely aspie. It might explain his less than charming ways with the press. Or he could just be a pompous ass. Or pompous ass with AS.
(im just gonna cut and paste my observations I posted on the AFF site):

From an article: "She was warned that Lloyd Webber was 'volatile' and that she would 'probably get sacked at some point'. But their first meeting was 'so sweet -**** he didn't look me in the eye once... ****But what she finds 'most intriguing' about him is the contradiction between his 'socially awkward' manner and his ability to 'write love songs that people hum all over the world'."
It's common knowledge he's had an extreme, terrible temper since he was young; "hyperactive" as a young child; in the early school years he used to stand with his hands over his ears, blocking out the sound of his peers around him. Very deep and obsessive interests over ancient ruins/architecture-- encyclopediac knowledge, obsessively collected Ordnance Survey maps, physically uncoordinated etc etc etc etc etc. Common adjectives in the press: mercurial, twitchy, fidgety, obsessive. Very obsessive.
The parents are described as distant, eccentric, unable to show any tactile form of affection towards ppl/each other; JLWs biographer goes on to suggest it as a reason for their lavishing affection on their cats instead. The mum was obsessed with helping other people to the extent that she didn't seem to see the effect it was having on her kids, the household or even the people she was helping...

But the dad William takes the cake--- he was a prodigy (read JLW's bio), tea was always at 5 and dinner always at 7 and if anyone was so much as five minutes late, he would be furious. Regardless of whether he had work or anything at all on or not he would arrive home at exactly 11pm every night. Extreme bouts of melancholia, almost strangled his son to death once. not that i suggesting Aspie= violence! I know there's more but i can't seem to recall...

Most of the list is generally claimed by all sorts of groups. Mozart did not have AS (He was most certainly a ladies man, enjoyed parties, and from documentation socialized very well) however Mozart probably had Tourette's Syndrome given written accounts as to how he acted and from recovered letters he sent himself.

I think the more approriate reaction would be:

Keanu Reeves??? Whoa.

I don't have any reason to think he's an Aspie, but that's just the way I would have said it. :D

Personally, I'd like to hear some of you trot out some sort of behaviours on the part of these people you're claiming as ASpie.

Tom Edison? He was most probably obssessive/compulsive, but ASpie? He cheated people out of money he owed them, and generally behaved like yer typical NT. There's a story that he had a special closet built under the stairs in his lab, and would go hide when creditors would show up demanding payment. He also cheated Nikola Tesla out of any money for creating alternating current. Which he opposed, insisting that Direct Current would light America. He even put on demonstrations to show how dangerous AC was, compared to DC.
Overall, I don't think he had any ASpie traits, aside from OCD.

Popular belief says that people with AS cannot be athletes, but I think English miler and physician Roger Bannister had strong Asperger's tendencies.
