All Aspies have a 1,5 cm wider skulls than other children. I base this on absolutely nothing at all.

Because we all know that Asperger is all about physical features don't we?

These types of threads pop up every so often, and funnily enough in each different one there are always different physical features mentioned, and usually I don't have any of them. It's as though some Aspies desire to be so different that they start identifying random features on their body and linking it to having Autism without any proof.

This is funny - a few months ago it said somewhere that Aspies have a smaller mouth than normal. Which one do I believe? Is it really true? It just looks completely made up. Every time I read about Down's Syndrome, it always says roughly the same physical features which you believe because there is proof and you can tell that Down's Syndrome look when you look at a person with the condition. I knew that from a very young age. But as for AS, I was never told it includes physical features, and every time I read about Autism it never mentions any physical features (except for WP), and I've met people on the Autism spectrum before and they don't physically look any different to anyone else. And besides, all the physical features mentioned here are seen in NTs too. It might just be the expression Autistics pull that could make their face seem different, not their actual physical look. I didn't look noticably different to other babies when I was a baby, like a baby with Down's Syndrome would. Nobody even knew I had AS until I started school, but that was studying behaviour, not physical appearence.

I won't be surprised if I found a thread here saying Aspies don't have a shadow or a soul or a reflection or a splash or something else like that.

I posted a link a while ago about researchers finding similar facial characteristics in autistic children http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt181874.html
About the study: https://nbsubscribe.missouri.edu/news-r ... -children/

Quote:
Children with autism have a broader upper face, including wider eyes.
Children with autism have a shorter middle region of the face, including the cheeks and nose.
Children with autism have a broader or wider mouth and philtrum – the divot below the nose, above the top lip.

Here is the link to the actual study that was provided in the last thread on this study, that I provided above.

Within that thread linked above there is also a link to a study on facial assymetry and autism that is older research, if you are interested in that.

It's often hard to find new research articles, many sources show the abstract and want a fee to view the entire study. This scribd.com site is an excellent resource, for future use, if you can't find the free version of a research article.

hmmm... interesting study... I am not so sure about it but its still interesting.

You mean like mass, volume, and temperature? I definitely have those characteristics.

Also, AS bodies contain volumes of gaseous, fluid, and solid matter.

True, true. I think they're also made of quarks, at some point.

They are also known to have inertia, except when acted upon by another force.

Well I personally have a wider mouth, a slant or almond shaped eyes and dark circles, but I also have about 10% Asian in my ethnic heritage, and I don't sleep very well, hence the dark circles. :)

This is caused by salicylate acid sensitivity, which I've read that 70% of those on the spectrum have.

If these characteristics were that apparent, then it would be quicker and easier to detect and diagnose Asperger's.

I have none of those characteristics the OP mindlessly listed, and I've met NTs that do have those.
