Oh god, almost anything can piss me off. I just don't get angry like I used to.

I get irritated by most things. I always feel that horrible, irritated feeling.

- Parents. Just hearing my mum walk up the stairs and constantly talk s**t to herself loudly... knowing she could barge into my room, a personal space, and nag me or whatever. Whenever she's in here I want her OUT!
I feel the same with my dad now he's retired. He's taken to cooking dinner more, which means I get extremely irritated because he cooks the same meals all the time.

- Strangers. When I'm out I get an automatic irritation to everyone around me. When I see someone in the distance and I know I have to walk past them, I get annoyed. I'm not into the whole judging a book by it's cover thing at all, but my mind sometimes automatically thinks "moron!" when I look at particular people... the kind that just look like they're low life and up to no good.
Just any general public inconsideration from people. Being slow, loud, standing right in the way and stupid.
I'm unemployed and I go to a job centre fortnightly. I'm well aware that lots of people go there who are decent people who want to work and are there through no fault of their own, but as soon as I walk in I feel this slight sense of anger. Anger that I'm thrown in with some people (not all of them) who are unintelligent, quit school before they gained any qualifications, have six millions kids and don't even put any effort into doing something with their lives and getting a career. I feel angry because that is an insult to me and others like me who have worked hard at school and university in order to get a good job and do well in life. But because of the sheer state of this country I'm thrown in the heap and it's degrading. I feel like everything I've worked towards has been denied to me and I'm worthless and denied by society. I also get irritated because the people that work there, though most are polite and nice, don't have two brain cells to rub together. How does that make me feel when I'm sitting at a desk unemployed and the person sitting opposite me, dealing with my admin, is employed, but says the word "pacific" instead of "specific". "So, what in pacific were you looking for?" O_O Blaaahh!! Lol.

I have this trouble. I went to take a nap the other day when I was home by myself, but my family arrived home shortly after, when I still wasn't quite asleep. I began to feel worried that someone would open my door or need me for something while I was trying to nap, which led to high anxiety and my heart pounding as if i were terrified some murderer could barge in at any minute. I only calmed down when I could tell they had all gone downstairs.

Yeah. Do you ever get that when it's something like christmas? A family get-together? Also, if you've ever lived with a flatmate it can be bloody annoying. I like privacy so much that I ended up being confined to my room most the time. Just the sound of her being around the house and inviting her friends over made me anxious.

Yeah, I get really angry and frustrated if people ask me to do more than one thing at a time ... For instance, if I were asked to make a cup of tea and fetch the biscuit tin at the same time I would explode by saying "NO I CAN'T!! I'M TRYING TO BLOODY MAKE A CUP OF TEA!! !"

It gets me in trouble a lot. I just end up having an emotional breakdown sometimes.

Does that happen to you very often?

people spitting on the floor
people playing their music on their phone on public transport
baby buggy convoys
little children with posh accents
really casual swearing, like, 'I went to the f*****g park'
groups of girls giggling
cyclists on the pavement who yell at you for getting in their way
patently hetero girls trying to relate you by talking about their girl crushes
dog poo on the road (your dog is not entitled to use the public highway as a toilet!)

+1 for hating acapella singing, groups of acapella singers in particular. I am sure that many people enjoy them, but they activate my Inner Chucky.

Most of the time my anger is due to a cumulative effect from small things throughout the day. I have found that this has lessened some since I've started taking 1mg of Lorazapam (Ativan) every day since it chills me out. So if anyone ever tells me to take a chill pill I can tell them "I already do!"

The things that irritate me the most are when people choose to ignore clearly stated rules. Like in my online classes when my classmates use sources the professor says we cannot use (like webmd or other popular media sources) and don't use the proper citation even though the particular style is clearly stated in the syllabus and the professors weekly discussion board posting. In my most recent class this one person wrote at the end of her post that she was sorry for the citations not being formatted correctly because she's never used Chicago style citation before. But, the syllabus and in several other places it was clearly stated that citation was to be done in APA style. That gets me on another thing; if people are computer literate enough to navigate an electronic classroom with no problems then they are able to do a Google search to find out how to do the citations correctly. With the search they will come across aps that will produce a perfect format after you type in basic information. Things like that make me angry.

Sayings like "my Old Lady would kill me if she knew" or "My Old Man." At the workplace someone playing on another's vanity and flattering the ego like "hey boss, sure boss, yes boss-man."

I don't like to be surprised touched. I know someone that is aware I don't care for it via my body language reaction, but they still slap me on the back --and exceptionally hard at that-- SLAP!

I can't stand it when people spit on the ground. I don't see it very much nowadays, but it was prevalent at the all-boys secondary school I went to. I understand that in certain subcultures (especially Asian) it is seen as a very normal thing to do. But it just repulses me. I even get a little bit annoyed when I see rugby players do it.

when inanimate objects in my environment start acting like they have an attitude of hostile resistance to my commands, i get hot and bothered real quicklike. like when my recalcitrant POS puter locks up on me for the umpteenth time, it takes all my power to resist taking a sledgehammer to the goddamned thing, or yanking it out by the wires and hurling it out the window. i knew somebody whose inept toaster just delivered her a piece of charcoal one too many times, and she yanked it off the table by the cord and hurled it out the window just as her father walked up the driveway, who couldn't help noticing the flying toaster go over his shoulder. so at least it is good to know that i'm not the only crazy one. my older brother got sick and tired of a malfunctioning carburetor, so he hurled it across the garage and out the window. lord knows what it hit outside. my late father was so upset when us stupid kids opened the sack of bread the wrong way, that he picked it up over his head and hurled it onto the kitchen floor like a pile-driving wrestler, and stomped some for good measure. my drill instructor in army basic training was so mad at me for not holding my rifle properly that he yanked it out of my hands and threw it down on the ground, breaking the forestock. then he tried to bill me for the damage. military types, phooey. :x

The most unusual things make me very angry. I hate drumming circles, even though they are supposed to be calming, they make me want to punch holes in all the drums and yell. I also can't stand smoke detectors when they go off, I can be angry for hours afterwards. I don't mind all loud sounds, though, so I don't think it's just because they're loud.

The drumming bothers me too but what bothers me more is the extreme amount of energy generated even though it is good energy. I find myself not participating in many church activities because the energy is just too much for me.
