When I was 13, I was about 5'5". I stayed that was until I was 16, and then shot up to 6' over the course of about a year

Before middle school, which is when I hit puberty, I was usually the tallest girl in my class. Additionally, I got all of my adult teeth at an early age, so I got to wear braces (which I badly needed) by the age of 11. The doctors all said I would grow to about 5'9" - 5'11", but for some reason, I didn't grow past 5'7". I wish I had grown taller. I know that a lot of tall girls feel self-conscious about their height, but during the years when I was tall for my age, I took pride in it.

My daughter lost her first baby tooth at 4 1/2 and, at 6yrs, has most of her adult teeth. It looks like she's going to need orthodontic treatment, as the incisors next to her front teeth have come in too high, like her daddy's did. She doesn't have an overbite like I did, thankfully.

I can't remember what age I was when I had all my adult teeth but I know I had my front adult teeth in when I was in first grade. I fell down and chipped one and felt self conscious about it my whole life.

I hit 6'4" at 13 years old. Thankfully I stopped there.

Interesting turnout.

I was always extremely tall but I have 8 siblings and only one wouldn't be considered very tall. She's 5'8" I think 5"9 would be the perfect height for a woman but I passed that up in Jr. High.

I also hit puberty early so in middle school I was the second or first tallest in my class. Good against bullying. Before and after I was/am somewhat above average, now at 5'11.5". My feet and hands are a bit small to it.

You're lucky. I was the same, but then I shot up another 4". I guess I was a late bloomer. (6'8" sucks...)

My little brother is your height. Clothes don't fit right, furniture is too small to get comfortable on, bumps his head on the decorations in festive Mexican restaurants. It does indeed suck.

A little bit. However, I was REALLY tall in grades 5-7. I had my growth spurt early. I was 5 "2 in grade and 5 "4 in grade 6. I had my growth spurt between the ages of 8 and 10. Most of the girls at my school had their's between 11 and 13. I am 5 "6 now.

I was tall for my age until I hit puberty. Now I'm 5'6. It kinda bums me out. I took pride in being tall.

I've always been short. I blame my dad for that.

I was one of the tallest in my age group until I've reached puberty and now I'm closer to average. I'm maybe an inch or two taller than average, but that's it.

When I was six, I was about a foot taller than everyone else. When I was twelve, I was about half a foot taller than everyone else. Then, all of a sudden, everyone seemingly "caught up".

Now I'm 15, 6'0 and about average.

Short and was always short - 4'11" or 5'0" depending on the day. But average for my ethnic group. My brother's a foot taller than me and an NT guy. I started puberty before age 8, my mom and grandma are 5'5".

I was right around average before puberty; I think one year I slipped a little below average, but that was about it. As an adult, I'm just slightly below 5' 9".

I'm 5'7'' Asian, and female. People consider me to be very tall.
