Handwriting anyone? Inconsistent or just plain bad?

If I'm not being rushed, then my handwriting for the most part is neat. But if I'm beng rushed (ex: notes in school), then it's chicken scratch to me. I wish I could do buuble letters all the time - they come out neater AND quicker then just writing stuff down! x)

If I slow down and take exceptional care it can be quite neat, BUT then my hand and brain are out of sync and I lose the ability to construct a sentence.

My writing is barely legible, at times when I write in cursive its actually almost decent :P
Also I've also been told that I hold the pen wrong, and now I variate between the "right" way and the "wrong" way. Not even on purpose, I just revert back and forth between them, and I'm completely oblivious to it. :)

Mine is pretty bad. I don't even bother with cursive because that is totally illegible.

If I concentrate I can keep it readable, but my normal style is just indecipherable. I also find when I'm writing forms I struggle to keep writing in Block capitals and often switch back and forth with upper and lower case.

Both. I rarely handwrite, I mostly print.

My handwriting tends to change over time. It's never been good but most of the time it is readable and I have no control on how it changes over time. Very strange indeed.

I would say inconsistent: it varies between horrible yet lisible and entirely decryption-proof, except for myself.

I have never had any real problem with what I had writen, because I generally remember what I meant and can make it up from the context.

Lately, I sometimes accidentally write in my own notetaking abreviations in other situations; things like "☧n" for "Christian", "fxal" for "functional" or "=t" for "equality". This doesn't help lisibility.

I am a very slow writer. It can take my about an hour to write a paragraph. Typing is only a little faster.
To write my best it can take two hours a paragraph...

Hmmm, I actually have really 'nice' handwriting, which I can only say because I'm told this constantly. Really, I think it's probably the primary thing that people notice about me..."Oh, my, you have such beautiful handwriting!"

The thing is, I write really, really slowly and precisely...and I don't like my handwriting at all. I get jealous and try to emulate other handwriting that I see, to no avail. I've always been 'interested' in pretty handwriting, though, so that may be why I was able to develop a very neat, readable writing style.

If I'm writing quickly without taking much care, though, it's all narrow and slanted and messy, which is the opposite of what it looks like when I take my time.

Mine is pretty bad if I'm writing fast enough to keep up with a lecture in school. I can do a lot better if I take my time and really concentrate, but it's definitely not as good as other people.

I'm guilty of chicken scratch handwriting. I think college ruined it, though, because most assignments were done in Microsoft Word instead of being handwritten. Taking written notes required getting what the instructor said down as fast as possible without caring for penmanship. Nowadays, with online transactions and communication replacing the need to write by hand, my handwriting has gone further south due to lack of practice. The other day, I had to do my midterm by hand and had to have my instructor have a look to make sure she could read it..

Here's a sample of my writing but it's several years old.

My handwriting was so consistently bad, I abandoned it late in high school (1982) and went to printing. Soon, that became almost unreadable so i went to writing in all caps. I am very thankful to keyboards now. :D

Personally, I suspect that I have mild dysgraphia, since my writing is awful - I write slowly, it is difficult to read and I must pay a significant attention to it, otherwise there would be large amount of left out, or mixed letters, font and capitalization inconsistencies, etc.....While it did not pose a significant problem throughout the highschool, in college, I bring my lap top with me; typing is much more easier to me. In written tests, however, I am pretty much limited by my speed of writing.....
