i do not listen to people when they are eating. i almost always eat alone.
i think i know what you mean however. i do not like the thought of food inside other people's mouths being mixed with their saliva. one of the most disgusting things i ever saw was an x-ray film of someone eating a chocolate bar. their tongue undulates and their teeth chomp, and the mass inside their mouth becomes more and more soggy and ill defined and it makes me gag.
i ignore what i do not wish to notice however, but i do agree that the thought of foods inside a person's mouth mixed with their saliva as they happily chomp on it is atrocious.
i once thought of a very sickening thing, and that was that someone dribbled their saliva into a cup and filled it up and put it in the refrigerator, and when it was cold, someone else took it out and drank it. that is a nightmare of consideration, and i am not prone to consider things like that because i am older and i can just reject thoughts that i do not want to think about.
scrunching munching sound coming from peoples mouths are not tolerated by me for long because i just escape from the situation and i could not care less what people think about my departure.
