Sums it up nicely for me but I will have to deduct the OCD, short tempered, b***h, stupid, loudmouth, special Ed dropout, bipolar, and dumbass parts.

I was never a little professor. I didn't talk well, couldn't read, I had poor reading comprehension, so no way would I learn about my special interests. I didn't start reading about them until I was ten.

Instead I spent all my time with something or talked about it but not always.

I was labeled ret*d though and stupid or weird or sick or idiot or dumb or mean or rude.

I guess "Egghead" must have gone out of style as slang. It was not complimentary.

These are things I've been called rather than things I believe identify me. I like the word 'wicked.' Technical use and modern use.

When I was a kid I was referred to as "The Mouth of the South" because I rarely shut up at home.

My dad calls me a "walking encyclopedia" because I know so much about my primary special interest as well as miscellaneous facts on various subjects.

Now I'm "The Tech Guy."

Brainiac (remember that one?), too smart for my own good, smart aleck, smarty pants, and wise one.

When I was young and in school I used to be called stupid, dumb, idiot, ret*d and this includes the teachers not just bullies! By the way they are telling the truth because my IQ is 82 which is classified as "Borderline Intellectual Functioning."

"What am I going to do with that kid?" "Vague". "Dreamer." "Loner." "Weird." "No sense of humour." "Earth to Shanti." Even "dumb" by my own parent.

Oh yes and the big "R" word by my sister constantly as well as "you're adopted."

I get called Abed now from Community. As well as brilliant, gifted, prodigy, etc. Suppose I'm a really late bloomer.

I was once called "arrogant" because I do not talk much. The girl who said that said I should open up more. And I thought it was really weird because I didn't have anything to say. So I'd only say something if it was really necessary. On the other hand, I got along well with another girl who was in the same course.

I bet my Biology teacher in 9th grade labelled me as "daydreamer" and "a bit slow" and "random". Because you could tell by his reactions in class that he did not value my contributions in class. As if I was redundant. Why should he have bothered with me. ^^ I never understood why he was so mean.

My mother often used to say that I was not able to "survive out there". You know, that I couldn't cope in life.

"Mean" and "rude" were constant labels as well.
