I'm guessing my headaches come from both stress and noise sensitivity. I'm very sensitive to sounds and noise. I'm probably also very tens in my neck and back. And then, I honestly have no idea what mental silence feels like and I sometimes wonder if one can get headaches from that. Can you get a headache from thinking too much?

Thinking can cause to stress, which again can cause to headache. I have no idea what mental silence feels like, how can anybody go around without thinking?

At home i use to dim the lights and watch one of the many tv-series I enjoy, this helps a bit with the headache for me. When i'm out my strategy is mainly to get home, i don't know how to stress down when around people cause they are mostly the ones who stress me (I am very sensitive to groups of people talking). Have you tried soft music and a good noise-cancelling headset?

Yeah, when I'm out my strategy is mainly to get home as well. I basically only go out when I have to. I haven't tried noise-cancelling headsets. Thing is, music can make me annoyed as well which is why I don't listen to music that often. I like music, but that + living with a very noisy flatmate does my head in. I use earplugs quite a bit, but mostly I just sit in silence. I mostly get headaches when working. It's so noisy, people everywhere, alarms going off etc. Don't really know what to do.

I seem to get headaches from being bored. I don't know if that's the real reason, but it seems like it.

I get headaches quite frequently. I also, rarely, get migraines. I find they're generally caused by tension in my neck and back.

I went to sleep a little before, so that I'd stop having a headache, and it didn't help me.

I get headaches and migraines often. Migraines slightly less now as I’ve gradually worked out the triggers and have some tinted migraine glasses for the light/screen triggered ones.

I think working out the triggers can be very useful if you can avoid them but if you discover it’s something you can’t avoid it does make it quite frustrating.

A lot of the time I feel that far too many things can give me a headache and that they are simple harmless things that wouldn’t give anyone else a headache. Plus absolutely nothing works for me to get rid of or lessen a headache.

I have tension headaches, if i don't take something as soon as i feel it it develops into a migrane, on many occasions i have been sick because of the pain.

Regular Headaches, migraines and sickness were a health concern my Dads partner had about me, although I had long just accepted them as a part of life. Since the AS subject has come to light with me, however, it has turned out that I am very sensitive to light and colour, something that I had simply not considered a cause as I assumed my perception to be normal.
I got some 48% tinted lenses in my glasses for everyday, and I have not had a single migraine since. I do think I should get some very dark sunglasses though, as I have had some headaches on particularly bright days as summer is approaching.
I had never worn sunglasses before, I didn't consider them worth the cost as I have prescription lenses, but they have certainly made a difference to my health :)

On less common occasions, I have also known certain smells or sounds to trigger headaches, this is based on hindsight, though, as it was only last winter that I found that I'm an Aspie :)
