Actually I believe that it is none of the above. I personally believe that there is no such thing as 100% hetero or 100% gay, but that it is a continuous spectrum between the two extremes just like autism, and just like limits in differential calculus, the extremes may be approached but can never actually be reached.

I would have to say that I am probably about 95% gay. I would not turn down a woman if ever offered to me, but nobody has done so in 61 years and those I have asked out on a date have always turned me down. I am still a hetero virgin. I have similar problems with guys and have not had sex in 14 years... not at all by choice... and the hypocrites terrorize me for it too.

I'm demisexual, demiromantic and literally don't understand gender.

I can be physically attracted to (some) people of either gender, but I lean heavily towards girls, and have almost zero romantic interest in guys(I'm a guy, BTW).

I'm a lesbian trapped in a man's body.

It's not quite as true as it was when I was younger, but it still is to an extent. I've always preferred the company of women to men, even though I have had a few male friends over the years. As a kid, I was the one boy that was always found in the kitchen with the women at any get together. Don't pounce on me for that being a sexist remark. It was the way thing were, and for the most part still is in this area. Also, all of the close male friends I have had were out of the ordinary, not in to sports, hunting, or any "macho" type hobbies.

I swear if I'd have been born a woman, I highly doubt I'd want to be with a man.

Well, I guess it comes down to literally: Are you a woman? Or are you a guy who relates better to women? I mean your gender identity/sense of gender, not what your body might be described as.

I'm not trying to correct you, and I think I get what you're saying, I'm just trying to narrow this down.

Oh, I voted asexual. I am not sure how I would describe my attractions (which I do have, just not interested in sex), as I also consider myself agender, and most of the terminology assumes both a position in the gender binary and attraction to people who are on the gender binary. Pansexual being an exception, and being closest to my attractions (so, semi-panromantic, maybe, since I am not attracted to all genders).

The term "sexuality" refers to all things sexual, including biological sex and sexual behavior. The term that you are looking for is sexual orientation (and transsexuality is not a sexual orientation btw. Transsexuals are either hetero, gay, bi, poly/omnisexual, or asexual like everybody else).

That last bit is interesting. I understand a lot of things about gender, but gender itself is like a ??? to me. I do not get why certain behaviors, interests, clothes, colors, are actually gendered, and why men are only supposed to do some things and women are only supposed to do other things. The frustrating part is spending so much time trying to observe and emulate gender, before I finally accepted that I do not get it.

I also do not get why people are so fixated on what seem to me to be irrelevant aspects of human bodies in order to define those bodies strictly one way or another, and either excluding or coercing those who don't fit that system.

I'm asexual.

Note to the OP: just because you're asexual, doesn't mean you don't want a relationship. It just means you're not sexually attracted to any gender. Nor does it mean (necessarily) that you don't enjoy sex. There are asexuals in sexually active relationships. I'm one of them.

That is my main problem. Even if I think that gender has been established over a long time, that it's only convention, I still don't get why people conform to certain rules.

I was actually a bit confused when one of my flatmates asked me yesterday whether I am neither straight nor gay and I said, "I don't know". I didn't even know what she meant. I don't think she was asking for a complex answer, but that's the kind of things that went through my head. She also said, before she asked, that she did not mean this in a mean way. I thought about this, too. Did she only mean, "Well, you do not conform to the norm". I think this is most likely the case.

Just because I loathe certain things that are considered female, no, rather because I don't "get" certain things other girls do, I am automatically different by nature. I just don't do certain things because they always seemed fake to me. And I actually believe that you have to invest a certain amount of faking in order to do something you're "supposed" to do. I don't think it's just me being weird.

I sometimes wonder whether other people are actually annoyed and angry because I do not do what I am supposed to do in terms of conforming to gender norms. If that's true, then those who blame me actually would agree with me.

As for now, I have thrown all labels out of my head because I don't need them.

Looks like most people (including me) selected ''hetersexual'', so it looks like it's rather common.

Sexuality confuses the f*k outta me so I dont even label anything. I am heterosexual but personality wise I am very effeminate and I like girly thing. I prefer to hang out with girls, and I get along best with teenagers and much younger crowds. I also have to force myself to be dominant as my sex drive isnt great and I LOVE kissing and hugging which can be a turn off to many girls.

That's a bit complicated, not because I'm gender conflicted, but because the way I define manhood is much different from the vast majority of men I know. I've been called gay, fa***t, p****, and every other term for homosexual and/or gender conflicted. I was told I acted like a girl when I was young. I've never been confused other than for a very short period during my teens. If you have a concept about yourself jammed down your throat long enough, you can start to wonder if it's true. It was a brief period though, and I have not been conflicted or confused since. I recognize that my idea of manhood isn't very popular in this society.

Does that, and this, answer your question?

My favorite line for dealing with those types of homophobes comes from the 1975 Al Pacino movie, "Dog Day Afternoon". In that movie there is a scene in which tranny Leon (Chris Sarandon) is asked by a reporter which one of you is the woman and which is the man (forgive me if I have this wrong... its been a while since I saw the movie). Leon replies with a classic line of "Honey, I'm more of a man than you will ever be and more of a woman than you will ever get".

It's a cool film, I loved how they'd handled it for that time. :D

I'm probably heterosexual. To be honest, I don't care.

EDIT : I could have said asexual, but I don't know. I think the concept of asexuality to be vaguely defined. Anyway, I don't care enough about sexuality in general to care about my particular tag, so until further notice, I am heterosexual.

Well I have never seen a guy and thought- I want to have sex with him.

Most people are heterosexual (I know obvious) but it would be helpful if the "normal" percentages for the options were edited into the op.
