Every day is a lot...that would waste water, not that the water around here is any good in the first place...not to mention it's probably unhealthy to shower in it too much. I honestly wish I had a water filtering showerhead, I wonder if they even make those. But I hate gross hair so I have to at least once a week, I try to get most of my showers in at my friends house who lives in the mountains and has good mountain water that doesn't have prozac and only Satan knows what else in it.

Yeah I can see how that would be an issue, bad water makes all the difference haha. I guess I've never had that problem because I live in an area of cali that has good water quality and all..

If I lived in the mountains I would always have good water quality, but not in Lakewood, Colorado........and Denver which is very close is not much better. My cousin lives downtown and I was at her house and she showed me what comes out of her sink, I couldn't even see through it I wouldn't want to drink it either.

Really? Wow, I wouldve thought everywhere in Colorado would have good water, I dont know why :P but gosh that must be hard to not shower often! But maybe thats just me, because I like being all clean and perfectly made up haha.

Not really, at least not for me I've never really showered very often, I do around twice a week if I'm up to it, but that's if Im up for a shower. My functioning seems to fluctuate. And make up is not something i do, except for a little eyeliner sometimes.

I know I had a cloud around me also. I had to change my pillow case every couple of days because it would smell so awful I couldn't sleep on it. I still don't know why I did that.

...Wow? Do you like sweat extremely or something? I don't use soap on my body except occasionally under my arms/backside, and I've bathed like that for over a year, sometimes even skipping days. I don't have problems with odors. Your hair smelling up the pillowcase I can understand (if you have oily hair), but your body...? Did you not scrub?

Thats the silliest question. I shower everyday, but why? The only reason I do it is because it's the cultural norm, and it's in my habit. You really do not need to bathe everyday, it's better for your skin if you don't and it saves water.

It is not necessary to shower/bathe every day. I usually take a shower every second day, somedays every third (but I don't USUALLY go out on that day UNTIL I shower). Still sometimes I have no choice. My hair is not greasy and I never smell. No one would ever know I didn't shower today unless I told them.

Ever since I was a baby in the infant tub, I've hated being wet. My dad always says, "oh you don't like being showering, so you must like being dirty then!" Um, noooooo. When I am dirty, I force myself into the water. But like I said, there is no need to shower every day unless you are dirty or smell. It is actually bad for your hair to wash it on a daily basis, and using soup all over your body every day dehydrates your skin. Of course, that is not actually why I don't shower everyday, I just hate the feeling of being wet after the shower (it's not about being IN the water--I LOVE swimming--it is about the slimy, wet feeling AFTER I get out and I can even feel the air sticking to me).

Ideally, everyday. Realistically, every other day depending on what I am doing. If I mow the yard, I jump in the shower right after that. Whenever I wash my hair I have to blow dry it and that takes a while so sometimes it keeps me from taking a daily shower. I just don't want to hassle with my hair afterward. So I let it go another day.

Every 3-4 days.

I'm actually surprised how many here shower daily. It's unhealthy and it wastes water. Furthermore, it's a drag. The only reason why people do it is because of the cultural norm. It's a social thing that has very little to do with sanitation and I would of expected that truly objective people won't needlessly partake in it.

I once conducted a little unwashing experiment (1 month). My brother said I didn't smell, and he's generally very straightforward with such things.

I always feel that my hair is greasy if I don't shower daily, and my grandparents would freak about cleanliness. It also wakes me up in the morning

That is how I felt before I stopped using conditioner, but before I just lived with the greasy hair sometimes.

I wish I knew why some people have no odor while others do. One reason I shower often is I suspect I have B.O. and showering gets rid of it. If I didn't believe I had it, I would shower less often.

I shower every day or every other day. I get my lazy nights and it saves on power because it takes electricity to use heated water since we have a electric water heater.

But I do feel dirty if I don't have my shower that night.

I guess I just got a little confused by that because I'm a teenager, and well teenagers... are oily :/ hahaha to put it bluntly! But is it really bad for your skin?

It's actually better to shower daily and wash hair if you are an allergy sufferer because it removes allergens. It's also beneficial to cleanse bacteria from your skin. Showering daily does have benefits. Just use lotion afterward.

Whenever I'm leaving the house or start to smell myself, whichever comes first.

I bath every morning and shower every evening... maybe wash my hair again in between.
