Ironicly I actually like the dark and feel safer in the dark. :D

When I was a child I always turned my face to the wall as I was afraid of the dark, something might creep out of the corner and scare me...

Fortunately, there was always enough light from the street-lights in the room, and the windows didn't have blinders or shutters, so their dimmed light could come in. I still don't understand people who can only sleep in total or almost total darkness with blinders or shutters on. I feel so much more comfortable when there's dim light in the room where I sleep.

As for TV sets, if there are flashing lights from them, I can't sleep. If they are not muted, it's much worse. Some old TVs have noises even with the sound turned off. How can people fall asleep with TVs on? :?

Scary movies, oh yes. They even included ET for me. Fortunately, I was already an adult when I saw Close Encounters Of The Third Kind... Recently, a leaf fell down in the middle of the night from one of my houseplants, and as it was tumbling down across the leaves, it sounded so creepy I had a sort of panic attack over it... Brrrr....
