I go through this as well. I'm always rehearsing and practicing talks in my head because I want to do and say the things. Sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn't.

I have tendency to think that all this stuff is Normal Behaviour.

Yes, I do speak myself in a head. And make facial expressions and laugh out loud. ... People give "that look" when I do that, which means basicly I'm been looked at "that look" all the time.

I do this all the time. The problem is, when I'm angry at someone, the conversation in my head becomes about proving my point right. So I get an insurmountable wave of logic and examples to back up my position. And then I take it to the individual in question...

And they won't play ball. No arguing, no attempt to defend themselves. They just exit the conversation completely.

I have lost more than one friend this way.

All the time with me too. I rehearse everything I'm about to say. For instance, this morning, I went over and over what I was going to say to the bus driver, to purchase tickets.

But, I also go over past conversations, which never went as well as I'd hoped. I rewrite them in my head and say into myself what I should have said instead (and how the other person responds), with the intention of getting it right next time, but next time never comes. This is stress related and I find it best to write my thoughts down, if I can't get out of that thought process. WP is a good outlet for that.

I'm amazed at how many things I can relate to on this forum. This is just another one of them. Really, I think I talk to myself more than anybody, and not because I'm conceited or anything. I do it mostly to script out future conversations I might have or just have in depth discussions about things I know no one else around me would care about.

sometimes all day long, w/ a cast of thousands, i can be alone all day long and talking to my friends in my head and then they come over and i can't get out of that mode and i still have mental conversations w/ them when i could just talk to them.

I think you're right about it being normal behaviour, though people who are isolated and in their own world probably do it a lot more than others because others keep themselves busy.
