I used to 'play' libraries too- I was so excited when one of our neighbours let me borrow a date stamp but of course no-one but me ever took the books 'out'

Mine too- I have books everywhere and I can never resist looking in all the charity shops whenever I go in to town to buy more second hand books :)

I rationalize it by saying I have a book collection. And what's a collection unless you keep adding things to it? :D

So true :-)
And I used to play library too. Someone borrowed, actually. With small cards and I wrote my friends name and the date.

Yeah, we did that, too. I think it's more of a kid thing, not an AS thing. We imitated the library's method at the time and stuck cards in pockets at the back to write details on.

Me and a friend had a "book club", too. We wrote the books ourself and sendt them to each other. And I wanted to work in a library as a child, probably because the library was one of my favourite places. So playing library makes sence.

Maybe not an AS thing in itself, but there is something about it. :)

I always have a real problem with trying to compile lists when on a boat or a ship - I always end up falling overboard over the right hand side of the deck for some reason...... I think its because I have a tendency to list to starboard......
