IQ of 148 here. Mild, but only because of the opportunities I've gotten throughout my life. If I had been told in my childhood that I'd never be normal anyway and sent to some school for "special kids", I'd not be as high-functioning as I am today.

The poll itself is anonymous, though. They don't have to post their IQ.

People are going to be more proud of their IQ if it is above 100 than below. They might not want to answer the poll because of it.

According to my estimated logic I possess at least "high average" intellectual ability. I have never taken an official IQ test whether it's the WAIS (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale), Mensa or the Stanford Binet. I have taken several illegitimate online IQ tests and the scores are of a tendency to be diverse, ranging from 115 which is classified within the "high average" range & 170 which is perceived as "extraordinary gifted." My highest scoring test prominently consisted of Matrix Reasoning Questions (Raven's Progressive Matrices) & the majority of the rest of them are within the 140-150 range. If my cognitive abilities were assessed in accordance with the WAIS I'd be presuming to show proficiencies in Digit Span, Matrix Reasoning, Vocabulary, and Arithmetic.

Diagnosed with "Classical" Asperger's syndrome in 1998.
AQ: 47/50

Me too. There was a 27 point discrepancy between the two halves of the test. They didn't even bother totaling it.

I never took an IQ test, but if I had to guess, it would be at least 120.

I've never taken this particular test, but I've had a few others online that all put me in the 145-155 range, so I went with that, and mild AS.

I have an IQ of only 82 and when I was little I found out that my IQ was only 78. The only ones I score "normal" at I had a test with the state doctor when I was applying for SSI payments. I got 101. I know he cheated and basically let me have the answers. For example, in the vocabulary section I didn't know how to explain or define the words so I just used them in a sentence. He let me get those answers right. I know that isn't right. Especially all the other tests have concluded that I scored in between 78-85. I know the online tests are not accurate and always give you a high score so on those I scored around a 126 which I KNOW isn't right in the least bit. Based on my life skills, and puzzle/ problem solving skills I know I score low. The thing that people say I am intelligent in is academics. I always got high scores in school except Oceanography and German class. Those classes I was actually the least intelligent person. It is because these ones you have to actually think for yourself and was actually college level classes. The ones I scored high in were remedial classes. If only I had a brain. There is one section of the IQ test I score one of the lowest in the WORLD. I believe its called "coding." I scored in the 1% percentile. There is a section that I don't remember but it involved pattern finding skills and I either got a 70 percentile or a 90 something. My subscores are all over the place and not consistent. The reason why I scored so high on the online IQ tests is because I basically guessed. It is multiple choice after all. Even my bird can score high on the online IQ tests. My brother got a 117 on the non verbal test and got a 108 on the full scale IQ. I wish I can score that high. I wish I can be more like you guys because of your beautiful IQ scores. It is amazing what you have for an IQ. I believe I am a dummkopf. That means stupid head in German. Oh, also on the poll I said "severe AS" because there is no way I can ever live on my own but its more the other problems rather than the autism. The mental illness side of Schizoaffective disorder, severe depression and severe anxiety. Even my own dad has an anxiety disorder. When he was young he had panic disorder and now he has OCD and Asperger's Syndrome. My brother was just recently diagnosed as having the same diagnosis as me which is high functioning autism. So yeah that is how I did in IQ tests. Just not that smart. I have a missing brain I guess.

IQ is overrated. By judging most of the posts, I suspect their actual IQ is a lot lower. Online tests don't count.

I think this would be an awesome study to do if the data was legitimate. Clearly this informal poll is very illegitimate because majority of the people on here have not taken formal IQ tests or others like to wildly false estimates in thinking there IQ is genius level. My IQ was formally tested, and is between 115-120.

*sigh*

It cost me $225.00 to find out my FSIQ is 104.

I voted "average IQ/mild AS" since I have a job and an apartment.

If it matters, I have a verbal IQ of 141 and a visual-spatial IQ of 89, which explains why I was able to memorize and reproduce the entire play of Shakespeare's "King Lear" in college, but it took me four months to figure out how to work the cash register at McDonald's.

First of all, for those saying it's not a good pool, that is correct. It's pretty much pointless or does more damage than good. But one can argue that it provides some benefit. At least we can feel like geniuses even though 99% of us are not.

My IQ is around 135, but my NT husband's is about 10-15 points higher than mine and he's very socially adept. I chose moderate AS because, although I'm married, I've never actually lived alone and I definitely get weekly, if not daily, help from my husband with things like paying bills and calling people. I've also never held a paying job for more than a year and barely got through 2 years of college living in dorms.

I had a similar experience back in fifth grade, but my discrepancy was almost double that. I scored 127 VIQ, and 75 PIQ. They didn't bother averaging the scores to calculate my FSIQ, because the resulting number would have been meaningless under the circumstances. The psychologist who evaluated me told my mother that he'd never seen anything like that, and didn't know what to make of it. Apparently, I'm very unusual. :?

Well, obviously this poll is informal and not for any specific study, but I certainly didn't expect so many people to use online IQ tests to respond to the poll. I assumed most knew that they were not valid measures of IQ. Personally, I've scored anywhere from 115 to 140 on online tests, but my officially tested IQ is 120.

I don't really think there is any reason to call it 'pointless', seeing as if people answered honestly (which, forgive me for being naive, but I didn't think people would lie on an anonymous poll) and used official scores, it could have shown some interesting correlations.
