You know, before I stumbled upon Asperger Syndrome, a part of me honestly wondered if I was some sort of Grey/Reticulan-Human hybrid left behind on Earth. 8O

My thoughts, regarding this "alien" hypothesis, is that it's put about by NTs who want an excuse for why they don't understand people w/ ASDs, while giving themselves an excuse for regarding those people as less than human

Sadly Hollywood doesn't put out many movies where the aliens heroically beat the humans

this type of stuff is a load of crap on so many levels that it really doesn't deserve any attention. i will not read the article, but the only comment i have is that on the very base level of logic, a hybrid with an extraterrestrial would make no sense. Their cellular make up would not be compatible. They would certainly have arisen by different hereditary system. We are built using 4 nucleotides, transcribed in codons by threes . . . this is surely unique to us. to think that another life form from another star would have happened to have developed the exact same chemistry is beyond stupid. it hurts my brain to think that people would waste their brains with such silly half-baked ideas.

I used to think I was an alien hybrid when I was a kid just because I felt like such an alien here. I also loved alien tv shows and had abduction dreams (almost always nightmares) often enough that at one point I couldn't leave my blinds open when I went to sleep at night. I've also found that I tend to see the faces of greys when on mushrooms, but not usually on other hallucinogens. One time when I had taken a lot I laid down with a pillow over my face and it was normal colored patterning in the dark void when all of a sudden it started to brighten up and look like I was opening my eyes in a very bright room. After a few seconds I was able to make out some blurry figures that eventually turned out to be two greys. They realized I had awoken and were obviously shocked by this and rushed over towards me. That freaked me out and I immediately pulled the pillow off my head and kept from shutting my eyes until I had come down a little :P

It depends on how you look at it. If the change from neanderthals was because of alien genmanipulation, then perhaps they made us compatible at the same time, and therefore a hybrid would be more or less possible. We have some flaws, so we are not perfected yet, but that day will come, and we will rule the universe with our ancestors.

I don't WANT to rule the universe. I'd probably forget to feed and water it  :?

On a more serious note, it does seem a bit primitive that we still use switches and joysticks rather than some direct-brain-interface to control machines.

It requires a lot of concentration. They tried it on jet fighter simulators and it didn't work out.
