I have had talk therapy for past year and a half. My counsellor is amazing. She doesn't specialise in ASD's but knows an awful lot about them 
She definitely acknowledges that AS disables me, that to just go out there and be social is impossible. She fully knows that I do not understand socializing.
Can you see someone else? I am in NZ, so if you are there I know a lot about AS, mental health help and can give you pointers.
But in the more likely event that you are elsewhere in the world, I don't know how things work so yeah. Is there a public mental health system? They will point you to AS specilized places that you won't have to pay for...
