It IS interesting!

If someone could figure out what I was IMMEDIATELY thinking of at any one instant, they wouldn't think I was very smart. I sometimes feel like I walked through a door, and there is an old tiny floppy on the floor, and that is my immediate memory. It's easy to forget that the room is gigantic, and has so much more.

I guess if I don't know MYSELF that well, how can even any "expert" claim to know so much about a stranger?

As for the flapping hands, etc... I have sometimes sat quiet and watched as groups of people try to figure out a problem I already solved. It makes me angry, but sometimes people just won't listen, etc...

Wouldn't it be funny if some of the "profoundly autistic" were smarter than they let on? Frankly, I think EVERONE is ret*d(in the real sense of the word, slowed down). It would be nice if the educational systems were better and focused more on learning and potential rather than "teaching" and goals.

Who knows, maybe the world would be nicer.

Steve

I have a profound desire to see the whole world, probably partly because of a long-standing fascination with political geography which branched off into a wider fascination in social sciences. If I had the money I would spend all my time traveling, sight-seeing, and indulging in new experiences. At the same time I'd have to think carefully before certain experiences if it seemed dangerous, but if I could I'd find a way to "make it safe", and sometimes decide its logical to "accept risk" for "potential reward and pleasure".

In fact a lot of my compulsions and routines revolve around looking for new things to experience. If something particularly new and interesting is on the menu at a restaurant I MUST have it. If I see a new pop or energy drink at the store I need to try it. I get easily curious about experiences, but if I feel uneasy about the potential "what-ifs" it sometimes takes me a long time to decide what to do. My greatest fear is missing out on life experiences. I'm only young and I already find the prospect of death(of old age) scary, because there's not enough time to do everything.

In fact I think life would be easier for me in foreign countries. At least I'd have an excuse for my social ineptitude i.e. "I'm just a stupid American." But because of all I know about world events and politics and my complete disgust for American imperialism (I could talk for hours about the corrosive effects of American imperialism) people would probably overlook the faux paus and say I am "smart for being an American." I'd probably impress them with what I know about their own country and government, because they'd expect an American to know nothing about that. I would be a very happy expat.
