Hi. If you hold soda in your mouth then your teeth could be harmed in the process. I do not know what exactly is causing you to forget to swallow, but maybe this information will establish a sense of urgency and this could help you to remember to swallow? Sorry but I have never heard of this and I know nothing of it. When I have some liquid in my mouth then I cannot seem to help but swallow. That's just me though. The same goes for food. Take care.

I guess the first step is putting a specific focus and conscious mental effort on swallowing. Maybe then you'll become more used to it and it will become reflexive as normal.

Whats interesting to me, is that you conciously decided to do these multiple things at once..

Personally I can't eat unless I'm watching something, however when I'm listening to music I find it hard to do anything else.

Strange the way focus works no?
