It sounds as if you've had a rough time getting to a diagnosis. Do you feel that everything has been identified correctly now?

After reading about it on WP I have a sinking feeling that I may also have ADHD...but I'm putting it aside for now. I was only diagnosed with AS in April, I've got to get my head around that first. If – once I've separated out which issues are AS-related, which are sensory processing disorder-related and which are ME/FM-related – there's anything left unexplained, I'll explore it further. I'm rather hoping there won't be, but that may well be a triumph of hope over experience!

I think I do. It's possible I have other issues, but I have no idea how to identify them or separate them out from what's present. I also have an anxiety diagnosis, but I don't have a way to make it an acronym.

All of those can create ADHD-like effects, too.

GAD (Generalised Anxiety Disorder)?? Or is that not specific enough?

Yes, indeed – and I'm actually hoping that the symptoms are an artefact of the other conditions, rather than a whole new issue. It may take me quite a while to sort it all out, but I'm in no hurry. It's taken me until age 53 to get this far in clarifying everything...

It's more like "anxiety, not otherwise specified." It's also been less of an issue since I started Zoloft.

That's understandable. I've been applying (and appealing) for SSI and I need to have my impairments documented properly, so I've been in a bit of a rush.

Just fibromyalgia. In both my calves and in my left shoulder, though I am suspecting my left wrist (which really sucks). I inherited it from my mom. My sister didn't. :x

So I have to be the one with all the issues in the family.
