Yes, exactly!

"Alex and Marissa, victims of mortgage fraud, seen in their northern Virginia home. See page B26 for details."

I was thinking more along the lines of "couple assaulted by police officers during routine traffic stop."

What I see in the body language:

Her hand on his shoulder is protective and somewhat possessive (might indicate insecurity?); her hunching forward slightly shows nervousness.

Alex leaning back shows self-satisfaction and preoccupation with other thoughts.

She looks like she is searching; he looks like he is staying put.

Seriously, though, I think the only thing 'wrong' with the photo is (1) lack of any emotion whatsoever, (2) your eyes are going off the side of the picture for no reason, you are obviously fiddling with the camera shutter button or something.

Portraits should normally have some 'eye glitter', you know, some shine coming off of them. Therefore simply set up a lamp facing towards your eyes, behind the camera. and when two people are in the photo, they might look at each other, or perhaps look towards the camera.

Oh and the top of your head is chopped off slightly.

I think the photo is fine. I also dislike being pressured to "smile" like a ninny everytime someone takes a picture. One of my favorite pictures of my husband and I is one where neither one of us is smiling and we both look like we are trying to stare down the camera (lol). So I guess I can appreciate this.

You should be more careful, there are some real weirdos on the net, don't you know :P

As for body language, ha! I'll beleive in body language when i see a pair of them talking about the weather.

However, i've got to say i'm loving the black and white, very nice, sigh.

It's supposed to be serious. You guys aren't very good at reading body language are you?

Actually I scored about 9/10 on tests to do with body language. In the photo you look bored... sorry.

Otherwise I think it's a pretty good photo.

How do you find the time for this? Shouldn't you have other things to get to? :)

I like it, especially the black and white quality (reminds me of tinky's Avatar! :)).

Newsflash: Couple gets award for the most all-round nice group of people. Effects of delight yet to sink in.
