You are who you are. Labels don't matter. It's not like if you were labeled NT you would suddenly become more shallow.

When I found out that by learning and practicing, we can do virtually anything NTs can do, I became sort of proud of my condition.

The original poster didn't specify whether he was offended. Also, I don't see anything in what she said that suggests that she doesn't accept the OP as he is.

I'm extremely proud to be an aspie. However, I am careful about who I tell. I've had bad experiences with telling people in the past. NTs don't really understand. I like to hold the cards until I really trust another person.
