Why get a label?

I've been thinking lately that it might be nice to have some help with executive function. There must be established strategies out there... right? Maybe I should contact a psychologist or psychiatrist. I don't even know where to start.
I got Social Skills Training at the autism center from the local mental health organisation (in NL).
These trainings are generally a good thing, as long as all of the clients are in the spectrum.
You can share experiences and see how others behave/solve issues/have issues, which is super informative!
For instance, I found out my case is quite severe compared to most in the spectrum; the rest hardly had any problems at all and most actually quit the training as being "not usefull".
Either they where in denial or just "mild cases"...
I also use a whiteboard to plan my week every sunday.
For the most part I integrate stuff that needs done on a regular basis into my daily rituals.
What really helps is a helper who comes round once a week for two hours who is specialized in autism.
She points out stuff that needs done (cleaning the bed for instance), helps out and you can bounce ideas/experiences off of her (mostly that).
