Anyone else feels like buses eat one alive?

Dont ever take buses. As a rule I don't get on anything that has a lot of people and that I cannot get off at will.

lol when I read the topic I thought of buses literally eating people

I can relate, as before I drove, I relied on the bus system as there was at least one route that I could take to school and back. Now, there are times when I'm worried that someone in a larger vehicle won't see me and hit my smaller car, especially when they change lanes, turning, or pulling out of a parking spot. I almost got t-boned at my local Target when someone in an SUV didn't even hear me honking as they were too busy with their phone conversation or text to pay attention to others in that lot. They easily could have hit someone walking to their car as well, it was that bad.

The worst part about buses for me was how it's very hard NOT to look at someone. Whenever there were people facing in my direction, I'd end up staring at the floor for the entire way (and I had to drive almost an hour to school every day). Needless to say I was getting several weird looks.

Also it was a torment if one of the buses arrived late, or not at all, which happened occasionally. As it destroyed my routine, it always made me anxious and annoyed.

When I was a child I also had a habit of getting into the wrong bus, or forgetting stuff in there...

For me it is not the actually bus, but some of the people on it. The worst are the Drunk, smelly old (or even young) nasty people, who try to hit on you or just sit too close, YUCK!! Make me puke. Also the smell of certain drugs and alcohol is awful!!

Get used to it. Buses are, and will remain a primary mode of transportation for auties. You could have been driving in rush hour traffic downtown like I was the other day. It caused a meltdown. I think I can live with taking the bus.
