well i have been bullied by almost everybody. mom used to hit me like anything, she is a narcissistic personality. My elder brother is dominating and he tried controlling my life right from what i should wear, to whom i should talk with, to what time i should go to college and anything and everything else. He controlled my life even after i got married he would call up my husband every alternate day and ask what i was doing and how i should be doing it. I got fed up of this nonsense once and for all. and cut off from them for almost 3 years
in office i am bullied, my in laws bully me and i am just fed up

Just recently, my mum have been dictating to me over the past three years that I was going to live in the present, I wasn't going to wear the clothes of the 60s, and that I was going to be pretty much like her. I've finally told her to knock it off. I didn't really tell her to knock it off, but I did tell her that I was being myself between 1994 and 1997 the first time that I was being myself and dressing like The Kinks. I also told her that there were only three times in my life that I wasn't being myself.

I went through that hippie phase to get my mindless male bullies off my back during my last two years of high school.

I wore horn-rimmed glasses that I didn't need to prove that I was as intelligent as everybody else in the family in hopes that my mum, dad and sister would stop treating me like I was slow in the head. That caused a lot of disappointment, I didn't get the outcome that I wanted.

I did the spiked hair to prove to people that I was tough and that I wasn't vulnerable, after somebody got all angry at my Aspieness and stopped talking to me on a website. I was very angry at mainstream society and its people.

My mum did call me back to apologize and she started accepting me for what I am. I'm going to open up to her a lot more.

It would have been nice if all this was settled three years ago and my mum was able to congratulate me. The main thing is that it's finally happened.

Sorta. My brther did his best to protect me from other bullies. However he then bullied me at home relentlessly. It was like no one was allowed to abuse the **** out of me, except him!! Then he graduated and I got it really bad at school. Second he was gone it was like flies on poo...

Your mother sounds as if she has covert Narcisist personality, You were the scapegoat in the family and your sibling was the golden child who learned early on to treat you badly and get away with it. It does bring these people great satisfaction in hurting you , shaming you, shutting you out of the family, and they know people will believe them and never you.I can still see the smile smirk on my mothers and brothers face as they tore me down. That is just what it feel like someone always tearing you down and no one there to ever build you up. I went no contact with my mother after 50 years of her abuse and just being my worst enemy. Your mom should be your best friend always there to help you and make you happy , not your worst enemy. There is no way to win and the sooner you can walk away from her the happier you will be. They will hurt you until their last breath and then in the will etc. when they die. The get off on seeing you humiliated to friends and family. I love my own daughter so much and could never see her hurt. I did a lot of research to finally be able to walk away and see her for what she is. I truly hope she rots in hell and I will not be at her funeral.

Looking back, I was definitely bullied by my younger sister when we were growing up.........I know I've mentioned this on here before but I wasn't the older sister whom she wanted/expected to have, she resented me for the attention I received for various medical issues, and took that out on me. Meanwhile, I think our mom was aware of some of this, but chose to ignore it......she would just say things like "I don't want to hear about it", and "You two need to work that out between yourselves". The result being that she thought of me as a whiney tattletale, and I took it as our mom saying it was acceptable to bully me.

my dad accidentally bullies everyone in the family. I now know he doesn't mean to but he is just inadvertently cruel when he isn't putting on his face for strangers. He finds whatever your greatest insecurity is and just needles and needles and then blames you if you ask him to stop. He thinks that he is "bonding" or "being funny."

My older brother is 2.5 years older than me, and he's main-stream NT.

He hasn't got the slightest notion about somebody elses difficulties or their own dreams and desires. He's a liar, cheet and thief. My parent always believed him over me (mostly because he's older than me). So I copt so many belting because he broke something and said I did it.

My parents devorced when I was 13, and I couldn't wait to get away from him. The only time I talk to him now is family reunions.

From his teens to 30 something, he constantly had the most beautiful girls hanging on his arm with a gleem in their eyes. He'd get a new girl about every 3 months. While I'm still looking forward to my first.

I am also an ACON [adult child of narcissitic parents] who was raised in a FOO[family of origin] that was WAY beyond violently dysfunctional. Being the "ret*d" one [this was a long time ago] I could be beaten, buried alive, forced to eat vomit and feces, sexually assaulted, forced to clean up the blood when my brother raped someone, be constantly threatened with murder [ there was a little 8 or 9 year old girl who had been murdered in the area. And I was constantly told that I was going to be the "next Paula Sue Steinbach]

When I grew up and escaped through marriage [ back then you could always find a partner, no matter how weird you were, so long as you were considered super cute] I also thought it would be over. It wasn't. I am finally NC [no contact] with most of them. But this was not until, among hundreds of other things

My sister had called my home when my first husband was dying, after 3 years of suffering from an always fatal form of leukemia, She said that my husband was FAKING his illness and that I was too stupid to realize that he was fooling me. My daughter fell for it. I won't go into the details, but my husband fake died from fake leukemia two and a half weeks later. When he died he had no idea whether his daughter loved him or not.

when LJ became so ill, she convinced many people that [just like his autism] it was faked. [we, unfortunately, have hundreds of pages of proof of the hell my son has gone through.'

When my dad was on what the doctors thought was his deathbed, my sister and brother had a fun time making it clear that they hated him. My brother [at the back of the room with my mom] physically restrained my mother and covered her mouth when my dad called out to my mom. Until he actually did die, all he did was cry.

It was then that I FINALLY stood up to the monsters. They said that they would destroy my life. I start crying when I think of what they did [what they got my mom, MY MOMMY, to do] but I have been asked by at least a dozen people if they thought the reason I developed breast cancer was because of the 3 years prior.Maybe.

I made myself a new family. My new brother was an awesome man who was a paranoid schizophrenic. I loved my brother Bill. After I was diagnosed my sister called Bill and told him that I was faking breast cancer. Now, I live at a nudist club, guys. Everyone saw the drains and the scars and the sunken chest, and the puking, and the hair. But Bill, [who was at the hospital when I had 2 of my surgeries, including my double mastectomy] was convinced that I was faking. Bill died not much later, believing that the family he had thought he finally had, had been anything but family [story of this on another thread]

I wish I had gone no contact many years earlier. I try to make light of them. I jokingly tell people that I know that satan is real because my sister is his personal trainer. But I still cry.

My oldest son,[ who had been trying to talk me out of having contact with my family since he was 10 years old, he is now 35] says that he thinks that I was the scapegoat because of being autistic. He says that it's a good thing that I'm autistic because that is probably what kept me from being a monster like all [except one other sister] of the rest of them. I would much rather be a weird and spazzy autistic than an NT with a heart filled with evil.

No. I guess I was lucky because I didn't have the kind of parents who tried to make me normal. There were still rules to follow in regards to behaviour, but it wasn't like how some families try to force autistics to act normal or stop autistic behaviours that aren't harmful.

It also helps to have the same interests as your father.

My little sister used to call me "brain damaged" and "diseased". And she said I was "good at nothing". :(

Isn't it amazing how people take their normal families for granted. I know my story is sad but reading here the stories just breaks my heart. I was not physically abused but the emotional abuse was horrific. When I think of my mother and brothers I can only think of one word, just plain mean. They enjoyed hurting me and the pleasure on their faces was so obvious. I would give anything to be able to go one day and not replay the hurtful actions they did to me. I know that my story is bad but nothing compared to some of you. Bless all of you and just try to remember this is what made you the person you are today. You have to be an improvement over these emotional sadist. I will always wonder why god gave me to such a horrible mother and not to one of the millions of women that wanted a baby girl with blue eyes and blond hair. It is so sad to know your mother is your worst enemy and never even your friend. No matter how many people tell me I am beautiful and so talented I always will feel ugly. Going no contact now almost 8 years was the best thing I ever did. But the pain never ceases. No matter how busy I keep myself I relive it constantly. I know I have a wonderful life that most people would envy but I am such a loner now because I can't trust anyone . I hope all of you come out of this crap a better person, I know I am a much better mother.

My mom and my sister still bully me on a near-daily basis for various reasons.

yes, as a child, the bully was at home. I was mostly ignored in school. I am an adoptee, and the adoptive "mother" has her own issues. I honestly think she is borderline.... but she certainly was not equipped to raise a child like me. Because of the abuse, I went to live with a step-dad when he divorced her. I lived with him and his new wife, and their new biological child {akward} but thank God that was an option. I haven't spoken to the "adopter-woman" in over 30 years. She has control issues regardless, that's why she's been married and divorced so many times.

Yup. My sister used to use my sensory sensitivities against me when she was mad -or crack jokes about my autism and how I'd never be 'normal'
