I get excited over things that other people don't understand. The pleasure and joy I get from grocery shopping, for one. I ordered a shirt online which says " 96.4% Orangutan" and I had it shipped to my mom's house (it's cheaper), and she told me yesterday that it's in, and I'm so unexplainably excited. I also ordered a Hoberman brain tease which I'm incredibly excited about as I love any sort of toy or object I can fidget with to help preoccupy my thoughts and it's similar to a Rubix cube. I get more excited about small, trivial things in life than I do about "important" things.

The reason I get excited about the little things in life, is because the little things bring me the most joy. :)

I get quite excited grocery shopping and then putting all the stuff away neatly into shelves or the fridge where they belong. My boyfriend is extremely puzzled by this because he hates both.

Once he asked me, "Are you tired of putting stuff away already?" I was, like, "Why would I be?"

It makes him very happy, though, because it means he doesn't have to do it because I love it and I want to do it all by myself! lol.

My excitement is very lopsided; I don't generally get excited at the things NT's get excited by, attractive members of the opposite sex, vacations, trying new things, etc. but I get SUPER excited about the things that make me happy (to the OP; I'm thrilled the latest Dr. Who and Big Bang Theory are airing again!) For instance, I still play Neopets (childish form of entertainment right there) and was more excited than I'd been in a long time when I finally got that rare pet I'd been saving for, it involved a lot of squealing and jumping up and down, and I'm pretty sure if anyone saw they'd think I was nuts, but I don't care; I like getting excited by little things. I saw a baby bunny eating grass on my college campus yesterday, so I sat in the middle of the lawn and watched it, even though there were all these people passing by who were probably wondering what was wrong with me, sitting randomly in the middle of a lawn. I also love ordering books from amazon, I get super excited waiting for them to show up, partly because I want to read them, but mostly because I love getting packages in the mail! Growing up is so overrated, don't let the boring life of the average NT get you down!

When I lived with my parents, it was generally accepted that I was in charge of organizing the pantry.

When I lived with my aunt, I went through all of her food items once a week and threw out all the expired stuff.

Now, living on my own, I go to a local ''healthy'' grocery store and pick out one new item a week. It's exciting. :P
