It is a form of our brains that "experts" call Executive Functioning problems. We lack the ability to schedule, organize, and motivate. It's worse for those of us with ADHD + autism. It's simply a problem in our brains and we need to learn ways around it. It's not laziness, it's a wiring issue in our brains.

So that explains it.......... is there a way we can control that, now?

We could probably benefit from a lot of the stuff that people with ADHD and brain-injury-releated executive dysfunction. ADHD meds, planners, lists, visual reminders; other people can prompt you, like an aide or a secretary or your family reminding you to do things. There are many organization strategies. Like you could have a list of steps for completing your homework or keeping your house clean; or you could have a system of alarms reminding you. There are many different things to try. I think the particular combination of tactics will be different for everyone; so we just have to try things out for ourselves, and keep whatever works.

I don't think having autism makes a person lazy. Laziness is more of an indviual thing

So, to answer my Q, what can I to get motivation, despite my brain not being 'wired' to do certain tasks?

I'm lazy unless I'm interested in what I am doing. What really stinks is I am a stay at home mom so my husband wants me to keep the house at least picked up some. But it's over whelmimg, I get it all cleaned up and two days later it looks like crap again and I just don't want to clean it again. But the thing is I hate clutter, it makes my anxiety go up.

Love it...

Anyway, I don't think your lazy equestriatola. You have to remember that the intensity of the sensory overload that we aspies experience is overwhelming. Sometimes it makes it hard to accomplish things.

Your titles question makes no sense whatsoever.

I am saying that I am unmotivated, unwilling to work because of what I have. Hope that makes sense.

I've come to grips with who I am, and I tend to be easily distracted/can't study in school, this has been the case since I attended school 20+ years ago. What can I do? I think I may also be lazy in everyday life, and that leads to problems when I have a job; and to both Qs, I have no straight answer(s) to.

im lazy but i find it more difficult to remember what plates i should of taken out of my room i always forget those sort of miniscule things until i receive a reaming from mrs motivation...
