Do You Like Dressing Formal?

I've been on cruises before too and they made us dress formal for dinner unless you just wanted to go to the buffet. Maybe some cruises do things differently though.

Anyway, I like dressing up as long as I know what to wear. I hate it in the winter cos I don't know what I'm supposed to wear over a dress.

I HATE wearing work clothes (dress pants and shirts) I rip them off as soon as I get home. Buut, I LOVE to wear dresses, especially poofy ones

No. Formal is always uncomfortable, feel and too warm. Plus it make me focus on the clothes and not what is more important, If i have to, i minimize the time wearing them.

I love it, as long as the environment is cold enough to keep me from getting hot in formal fabric. I love long flowy soft dresses.

I like it too, it also feel like armour for me too. But instead I feel like super woman or something.

I prefer casual clothes, never had a suit on or anything, never had the need for it either, over here we're usually not that formal :) With clothes atleast.

Maybe I am not like the rest of you but I would like to wear a suit more often, especially just the vest, it makes me look sharp. But I don't have occasion to dress up. I always though my sensory issues were because of light, thin, sensitive Irish skin. I did not know it was a spectrum issue. I cannot wear a man's shirt without an undershirt like they do on the soap operas and an undershirt has to have a V neck.. The stiff fabric of a shirt rubs my "boobies" And it has to be cooler weather.

I don't like to get dressed up. I'd rather stay out of places that require me to dress up than dress up for them. The most I got dressed up was a couple of years ago for a funeral instead of wearing jeans and a t-shirt I wore suede jeans and a sweater. I won't wear dresses or high heels.

Though I'm not exactly enthusiastic about wearing a suit/formalwear, I will do so if it's necessary. Suits make me look like Blixa Bargeld (see below image -- not necessarily a bad thing) mixed with a bloated m***et penguin (not flattering).

No, I would avoid any situation that required me to dress like that. I will wear a shirt and proper shoes but that is about it. If that's not smart enough for you then too bad!

I don't like wearing a suit & tie, nor a shirt with a tight collar, nor weird-fitting shoes with slick, slippery leather soles. Of course I can if I have to, but that's basically for weddings, funerals, and church functions. I would never host an event which demands formal attire, and I am usually "busy that day" when I'm invited to one.

It depends...usually, dressing formally means I'm forced to dress conservatively (read: how everyone else dresses), and I strongly dislike today's fashion. I also generally dislike looking like everyone else when I don't FEEL like everyone else. I prefer to wear clothes that are a little more unusual or antiquated. If I get to choose that kind of outfit to wear, then dressing up formally can be fun.

I hate it...I'd live in my pajamas if I could get away with it!

I love dressing up but I have no reason to so I don't get to do it often enough. I'd love to have a need for formal gowns but my lifestyle is such that I never get more dressed up than long black knit skirts. A serious formal gown would require serious alterations for me, anyway. I'm not that short but for some reason everything "maxi" length trails on the ground on me, even with heels. The waist would have to come up, the bust would have to be let out, it would have to be hemmed quite a bit.

I hate dressing formally because I find it to be pointless and the formal clothes to be extremely uncomfortable. Also, if you are an a**hole with casual clothes on you are still an a**hole with formal clothes on.
