Introvert for the most part.

Shy? Somewhat, somewhat not, sometimes.

Introvert.
I don't know why, because that's the way my brain is wired? I've been this way since I can remember.
I'm happy being introverted.
I'm not shy, and I'm pleased that someone knows that there is a difference.

Missed questions:

Why?

Born that way.

Shy?

Not at all.

Happy?

Don't really care how I am.

In the middle-extroverted because I can be an obnoxious loudmouth at home and in my ASD group and in tutorial at school (places where I feel comfortable-know what I'm talking about) -one of those who goes one too long and gives "too much information" and "takes over"/dominates conversations. Introvert because I get easily agitated and over-tired with too much social interaction and I need to be alone a lot- I also need time to 'recharge" or "reflect" after social interaction-I can only take socializing in small doses- which is a characteristic of introverts- I also MUCH prefer one-on-one interaction and can be very quiet in unstructured group interactions. I'm not shy but I do get anxious in group social situations and can be really quiet, but more zoned-out/spacey quiet than shy quiet -because I tune out of conversations some times and start daydreaming or thinking of something irrelevant.

I'm definitely an introvert and I'm happy that way. I find most social interaction draining, so carrying out more interaction than needed would leave me exhausted. Besides, there is almost always no benefit for me when I do go out of my way to be social with others, so it does not appeal to me to be extroverted.

I'm everything, but never really in the middle.

Even as a baby I was highly introverted and also through my entire childhood, than in puperty I changed and was extroverted and now I'm more introverted again. And sometimes I "jump" from one moment to the other, from introverted to extroverted really fast or even from person to person. So, I'm deffinitly both extremes, but never really in the middle.

I am an introvert. I am shy, meek, passive, and I tick all the boxes on the social phobia list. I do want to do more with my life, but being shy does hold me back, and illegal drugs aren't the answer.

Definite introvert most of the time, though I am extroverted when I'm around people that I feel at ease with. :)

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term therapists - that I am an anxious and highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

I'd say introvert 90% of the time, more of an extrovert 10% of the time.

Depends on the situation. If I'm working (DJ-ing), spending time with family, etc. then I'm extroverted. Out and about in public, etc. then a lot more introverted.

I'm a shyer extrovert though I am trying to become less shy because I love being around people and feel bummed when I don't get that.

I used to have an odd reputation at the parties I was invited to (well... I was allowed to tag along because a friend of mine was going. I normally would not be invited otherwise.) I used to always bring my laptop to parties so that I wouldn't be bored! To others though, it made me seem anti-social...which I guess it was. I wound up forum posting instead of talking to the people around me. Then again, I had been around them before and found that none of them had anything in common with me and so I would end up bored and lonely in a house full of people.

I do the exact same thing; I even brought my nook to my mom's best friend's wedding yesterday, so I'd have something to do when I needed to escape all the music and small talk. I never even considered it weird until you mentioned it just now... I don't see why it should be weird, almost 50% of the world are introverts, and even neurotypical introverts don't like a lot of excessive noise, chatter or things going on around them. I am a hardcore introvert, and I'm currently reading a fantastic book lent to me by my friend which apparently "could have been written about me". It's called Quiet by Susan Cain. Anyone interested in the psychology of introversion and why extroverts seem to be the only ones with a voice should definitely read it, it's really good.
