When I was a kid beating other kids up was my solution to a lot of things. It was effective in stopping the teasing, but in the end I just felt bitter.

That's my point. In the short term it feels right but you'll feel worse in the long term. Its better to use the opportunity to show how calm you are under pressure without resorting to violence.
