Honestly, I'm not sure. I've never noticed it and no one has ever pointed it out to me if I do, although I do evidently have a certain sound to my walk that is pretty easily identifiable.

I drag the heals of my feet behind me. I always have.

I remember my parents forever telling me to pick my feet up...

i roll on my tracks in a computorially moderated way.

if i accelerate too rapidly i will fall over backwards and break my bubble head, and stopping rapidly also has it's dangers in a similar way.

With single minded focus, I can even perform physical feats of strength, coordination, and agility.

Without single minded focus, I don't appear normal.

Yes, people often say to me I have a weird gait.

Yes I do! Once when I was walking to my friend's apartment she said that she was watching with her brother from her balcony and her brother saw me and said he could"recognize that awkward gait from a mile away".

A symilar thing happened to me. Once one of my classmates that is very myopic told me she could recognize me from a mile away even without glasses because of the my gait. It was quite irritating.

probably I just don't pay attention, sometimes I feel overly clumsy so in front of others I might try not to seem so clumsy but I can't say I typically make a very good job of it.

Me too. My dad is the only one who can keep up with me, and we walk the same way: with long, fast strides. It should also be noted that (and this is unlike my dad) I walk on the balls of my feet, and my heels rarely touch the ground (at least if I'm barefoot).

I'm actually more comfortable with quadrupedal locomotion. I can crawl faster and more comfortably than anyone I know, and I don't know if it's because of some weird balance thing, because of all the pushups I've done all my life, or because I'm half-ape.

Same! At one point, they were querying a mild form of spina bifida due to the way I walk. (I also fall over a lot and my balance is crap)

I'm told by my adoptive mother that when they got me at 3 years old, I had an extremely large vocabulary, but walked stiff like a robot and had trouble climbing; I fell down all the time trying to climb. As a child/teeenager/young adult, I walked extremely fast and kind of hunched forward. Now, I walk much slower, but that's due to bilateral plantar fasciitis that is slow to heal.

I have mild ataxic cerebral palsy. Most of my body is hypotonic (loose), except for my hamstrings and heel cords, which are spastic. I managed to learn to walk at 15 months without physical therapy, anyway. Don't ask me how, but it's the last mobility milestone I attained on time. I can't really run, and I had to go to physical therapy to learn to do steps.

I had a clumsy childhood--my speech therapist jokingly called me a "dalmatian" a couple times because I always had bruises on my legs. I also scrapped myself up on the blacktop playground a lot. When I was finally diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of nine or ten, my neurologist suggested martial arts, and my parents started me in Tae Kwon Do. I learned to control my body. The last time I had a CP-related fall was when I rolled and sprained my foot in the seventh grade. I haven't fell over for no reason since I grew into my feet.

The ironic thing about this is, when I started falling over less, my gait got more awkward due to puberty and the fact that my bones were growing faster than my muscles. My hamstrings and heel cords got tighter, and I started to limp. I still do, but to a lesser extent. I also have a very wide gait, because of muscle memory and also to compensate for my still-existing-but-significantly-milder balance issues.

Anyone else been told how odd or funny you walk? If so is there anything to help improve my walk so that I can look more normal?

I walk funny and I have no idea how to change that. I can consciously change the way I walk for a short time but it is tasking to put that much concentration on it. I just rather walk funny.

I have a weird gait also, I remember kids asking me at school why do I walk so awkward and someone even wanted to learn me how to walk, lol.
But my walk is still the same and i don't care too much about it.

I roll my feet when I walk and I kinda twist my left leg when I walk, so I guess you could say I have a funny gait. I also knock the back of my shoes when I walk in certain shoes (smacking the back end of my heels) But my bf also has had a weird gait (he's since somewhat corrected his, but he's for years suffered from the sloping shoulders and toewalking). I also don't stick out as much walking next to my mom though because she has mild CP and she has a heavy limp when she walks because the bones in her left foot are fused together in an experimental surgery she had 24 years ago so she drags that foot.
