Yes, it happened to me many times. When I try to approach them, I feel a slight discomfort in the group, even more when I open my mouth. 8O
Doesn't matter how hard i try to be pleasant, tell jokes or start an interesting conversation, they seem to be bothered. It is very frustrating.
And yes, many times i've been told that i'm too distant or apathetic. How ironic.
But with boys I get along well. Not all the time but anyway way better than with girls :?

Standoffish? I believe that's the way I'm probably perceived, yes. Standoffish, aloof, cold, 'weird', take your pick. My gut says I'd hear them all if people were more courageous and blunt.

In the eyes of others, I'm sure I do appear as such. Perhaps it is because I look like I'm staring through people and don't often blink (adding to the creepy factor) and/or the way my arms are usually crossed. Then again, it may be the perpetual sneer (what people referred to as an "Elvis sneer," though to me, it looks more like Christopher Walken).

I don't think so, I'm uncertain.
