bread, do you have a point to make, or are you just here to question (more like debunk IMO)?

Your original post here basically looks to me like nothing more than an indictment of the reason we are all here (the existence and validity of high functioning autism).

The entire purpose of WP is based on the acceptance of the realities of HFA.

If the only reason you are really here is to argue that point, which the vast majority of the 70,000 plus members here accept, it is only going to start non productive flame wars.

If you are here to question and learn, that's fine, but that is not what you appear to be doing in this thread.

Do you have a question?

I have been diagnosed AS,then I didn't trust that.I just want to take a look who has same experience.
I don't know that's all 70000 members willing or it just your willing. Are you AS?AS seems not mind such numerous people.
I know what's happening,I pissed off someone because I doubt a religion.
The religion of autism, and the pope is psychiatrist.
But wait a minute, what's the benefit I could get from I post something to doubt the AS?
All the conspiracy theory relate with benefit?Where's my benefit?

Yes. I have AS. My official diagnosis is PDD-NOS, but it is AS. Explanation is in my blog on my profile. I do trust that AS and HFA's are real, as do most of the members here, else they would not be here. I do not speak for them. Their own act of being here speaks for itself.

Autism is not a religion, and if you read enough posts here you will find that even out of many members here who DO accept HFA's as reality, a lot of them do not trust psychiatry either. In other words, we have no "pope" as you put it.

It is fine to doubt AS. That isn't the problem. It's mainly the fact that in your original post, you aren't questioning the existence of HFA's, as if you doubt it, you are stating it as fact that it is not real.

That approach can be inflammatory here, where the majority of members do accept it as reality.

It's your approach that is causing the reactionary replies.

No friends?AS sure.

You made this statement as if it is a fact that if one doesn't have friends one will gain a diagnosis of AS. This simply is not true, nor would the vast majority of members here agree with it.

Which would be my question to you. What would be the benefit indeed? But your original posts isn't about doubt. Doubt means you have questions. You didn't ask any questions. You stated what appear to be things you already believe as facts. "Fact's" that almost everyone here would take exception to.

That is why I asked, "Do you have a question?" If you have doubts, and would like the members here to help you clear them up, ask questions. If you are only here to preach that HFA's are not real, there really is no benefit to you or us.

You tell me. You are the one who titled this thread as a conspiracy theory. Is it your theory, or are you questioning the theory as you heard it from elsewhere?

Bread, please don't think I am attacking you. That is not my intention.

I do see good reason to believe that you are here because of doubts.

In your above post, you did say you have been diagnosed with AS. Your profile though, states clearly that you aren't sure if you have it or not. That tells me you probably do have a lot of questions about it.

What I'm trying to say is that instead of jumping in with blunt statements that indicate you don't believe AS is real, you would do a lot better to ask questions so that we can help you understand. Your OP (original post) sounds more like you've already made up your mind and might only be here to preach. I'm hoping that isn't the case.

You may want to repost in a new thread with more questions than statements. I think you'll find the responses to be far less unfriendly with that approach.
