You are different.
You will never be happy doing normal.
Be you. Find the inner voice and follow it. Follow it even if it appears to lead you astray.
Work hard.
You will find the way, your way.
Feel the energy in your heart and mind, others do not have what you have.
Stand on your personal mountain top and shout."I am aspieeeeeeee!"
Nothing else really matters.

Hi Jabberwokky I really love this affirmative statement and agree that we are each special and that we have talents just waiting to be discovered and utilized. I am happier since I was diagnosed as an Aspie as it explains my entire childhood difficulties - I was only diagnosed at 45! I still feel young and full of energy and up to taking on new challenges. I want to help others with autism/AS by motivating and inspiring them! Thank you.

Every single service seems to have that average age at which it ends... most ending much sooner. But, it appears, people older than that number can rot for all eternity.

There's only one group around here that accepts aspies of any age for a *monthly* social gathering... and it's constantly full.

I seriously can't see anything for myself other than 100% misery... I can see that now since the processes are already taking place, but it really seems hopeless (unless someone here has any ideas)...
I would imagine f you've been a loyal member of a group for a few yrs they should let you stay once you turn /25. is it ust a cost situation f or you?
I have a monthly meetup tonight. There are older people n this group in their 40s/50s.

In Texas you can't even get diagnosed if you're over the age of ten.

I've been told by several medical professionals that I possibly/probably have Asperger's. I asked my GP to refer me to a specialist but although he agreed with me that I probably did, he said being diagnosed would just have me "stuck with a label" which wouldn't do me any good either.
