Interesting thread.

When King Farouk of Egypt was overthrown in the coup back in the fifties it took planning by the circle of generals.

During the tense meeting before the deed future Egyptian head of state Gamel Abdul Nasser said the only words at the meeting uttered in English instead of in Arabic. He said "for this to succeed, remember, we all must remain calm."

When asked later why he said those words in English he would explain that "Arabic is not a suitable language for expressing the need for calm."

There are actually constructed languages called "loglangs", which is short for logical languages. The most well known of these is called Lojban, which is basically an upgrade of its predecessor Loglan. These logical languages are created by a person or group of people to effectively eradicate ambiguity in language.

Example sentence: la .maris. ninmu
Meaning: <name signifier> <x1(Mary)> <x1 is a woman/women; x1 is a female humanoid person [not necessarily adult]>
Translation: Mary's a woman.
