Pffft, no one should listen to me. Hell, I don't even listen to me most of the time. I don't know what I'm talking about any more than anyone else.

Do not give up. Do not become apathetic. The last thing this world needs is more apathetic, mindless, robotic consumers who look the other way when people are in need. You are not alone in your views, its just that society wants us to SHUT UP AND BUY instead of SPEAK OUT AND ACT OUT. Its capitalism, my dear!

This is exactly why I play the Switzerland card when it comes to political debates. I hate it when I get called a Hitler for something. Being 3/4 german ancestry doesn't really help that much considering the world is full of judgemental idiots who jump to conclusions.

For the record, I am about 1/2 german(I know that at least my paternal great grand parents came from Germany. They spoke German at home.), and semi fluent in german. I am also about 1/2 irish. I ALSO happen to have a Danish Aunt, and an Uncle that lives in Denmark with her. So I am not saying anything about nationality.

I'm ALSO often misunderstood.

I actually got a copy of Jugendscale(basically a German Culture based internationally focused kids magazine put out by the Geothe Institut) that has an article written about a german girls adventures in France. She says at one point that she doesn't know if she was mistreated because of her own actions or her nationality. That made me VERY sad. Outside of reading warnings about eye contact, that made me feel more like crying than anything else.
