Roadways and bridge designs have been a major interest of mine.

Go to http://www.kurumi.com and drool at its array of highway route planning information and links. (The Java-based software there could use more realistic graphics and snazzier options, though.)

I've been obsessed with Routemasters and Black Austin Taxis, since I was five years old. Part of it is asthetic, and the other reason, is because I see the Routemaster as something that always moves forward, and never looks back, so to speak. I also like the 50s and 60s.

Always been interested in cars - fast, classic or otherwise. Whilst NT female friends of mine can just about identify that it's a car, and maybe which colour it is, I can normally reel off the make, model, speed, engine, others in the range etc. I read car magazines, I watch car programmes on the tele, I'm a member of a racing club and a classic car organisation. Trouble is, most men won't talk to me about cars as they can't believe a woman would know anything anyway or it probably just seems wrong, and most women won't because they only know what colour it is. *sigh*

Transportation devices are for kids (or monster-truck obsessive male rednecks who haven't yet managed to grow out of childhood. Take your pick).

When I was in Streatham hill there was an accident blocking the bus, going forwards so I actually seen a rout master reverse.

You like black cabs, not just saying that to impress me or anything. Since I was a child, whenever we went somewhere special, it was in a black cab. Whenever I went on a trip in a car or a cab they always seem to play the music War-Of-World or Bright-Eyes on the radio.

I actually do like black cabs. I'm not trying to pick you up, or anything.

Ive always liked transportation.

It was buses for my first few years, including running away when i was 4 so i could ride round on the bus. That moved onto trains as i went into my teens again going on train trips on my own when i was 9 and 10.

And ships and submarines became interesting in my early teens with carsas i got older.

I love the london underground and tube trains so it was awesome when i lived in london for a year. Not a fan of escalators bu the trains , tunnels, everything fascinated me. And then i found the the London Transport Museum. Went there loads and loads. :D

And yes I do like the Routemaster buses too. I used to play around on one in a bus yard near where i lived. I even knew the bell codes from conductor to driver at one point

Still for me its cars and ships/submarines. Specifically My Ford Puma, and Vangard Class Trident missile SSBN's.

The transport obsession is often likely to be because of a liking for systemisation and organisation.

For me, it's the arrangement and layout of transport systems that interest me most, again because of the systemisation side.

You wouldn't hafta worry about that with me :) You get me on the topic of cars, and I don't know when to stop. My gripe has always been I've never found a gal that was even the slightest bit interested in them!
