My son's ability to recall information really confuses me - it can either be remarkable or fairly poor. I think it depends on his mood or interest in the topic...

I recognise a face instantly. Remembering where I saw it may be a tad more tricky. I have the memory of an elephant, but ask me to do something and it is forgotten pretty damn quick. I can never remember where anything is and if I lose my thought trail, I have had it. I think it is because I have such a quickly moving imagination and brain activity, I am, in my brain, onto the next thing that pops up, and I have forgotten the previous one. I am very inventive and extremely creative, so my imagination is all other the place. It is like having my own activity centre built in. I even wake up tired!

Yes.

Can't hold a thought if someone is talking, so either I interupt before forgetting - or I wait until they finish talking & by then I have nothing to say because its gone.

Faces are really bad, can't picture even my mother's face in my mind.

Often get to the place where I was going to do something and haven't a clue what it was, but I think that is common in NTs too.

If I'm busy I can be super organised and efficient so long as I'm not interupted, if distracted I may meltdown because of the frustration of the entire plan disappearing from my mind and the abyss of chaos replacing it.

I remember every useless (but interesting) fact I've ever heard (I think) and am the best map memoriser I know.
