I think it'd be a good idea aas well. I go through phases of interests that run alongside my main obsesssion (Pokemon and related stuffs) but I'm willing to have a look at other peiople's. Who knows, I might find a new interest. It's all knowledge of a sort, isn't it?

Well CockneyRebel, it's already happened to my friend, Rachel-Lugiagirl. She's developing a Routemaster obsession. It'll probably never be as strong as yours, but she remembers travelling on them,(so do I, but only in the last 10 years.) and you've woken a nostalgic streak in her.

What form would it take? I think little tips and the like for various interests might be neat. WOW, I haven't said things like THAT in a LONG time.

Anyway, I guess we can give hints, or talk about things, etc... It couldn't be big enough to hold all the info on computers, etc... , but it could hold pointers, etc...

I hope it comes about, it'd be great.
I was thinking along the lines of us each having our own threads that we could add to and talk about what we like, and other members could chip in if they felt like it. That's kind of how I envisioned it but what does everyone else think, what would you like it to be like if we get such a forum?
Thanks everyone who's voted and posted about this. It's up to Alex in the end if we get one or not but he's not said what he thinks yet.
It would be a cool thing to have at a site for ASers wouldn't it 8)

That's wonderful. :)

I didn't think that I have that great of an effect on people.
