If you have Irlen Syndrome then there is some color that helps you with visual processing, and takes away your visual distortions. You can use tinted lenses or overlays for reading and on the computer and stuff.
I have overlays that I got from official testing, but am doing homemade tinted lenses because that's cheapest for me. However you can also get tinted lenses not through the irlen people which while they won't work as well is much cheaper and the cost is worth it for people without much money because they are expensive.
However, if you are coming back strong on the self test, then I really recommend looking into trying to figure out what color helps your visual processing. I use a grey-blue. I know others who use pinks.
If you know certain colors of sunglasses help and others hurt, you can start from there - amber sunglasses hurt my processing, which reinforced my idea that I needed a blue, and I do in fact need a blue.
One way to experiment with colors at home if you can't find tinted things anywhere is to buy wrapping style tissue paper and use that and then you know what color you need - its not too expensive - this isn't what I've used, but its what I've heard is what is good to do.
Another way to experiment is by messing with virtual color overlays for electronics. I know there are things like this for Android (I use a free app) and I'd guess there even is for windows.
