I never realized I was rocking, tapping my foot, and bobbing my leg in class until someone told me to stop being "creepy." I seem to do it when I'm especially focused, and tapping/bobbing also helps me to concentrate. I feel bad that maybe it is a distraction to other students, but at the same time it benefits me, and where most of them are pretty NT I figure they can deal with my minor disruptions better than I can deal with their huge ones.

It's brilliantly magnanimous, but not superfluously so.

In other words, its "real."

I don't know what the heck we are talking about now.

LOL - tangents are fun!

Yes, Spirochette - that's true. When I study at home, or the library, I am always in motion - it does help with focus. My phil of language class in particular gets me going - it is very challenging and I love the subject. I have synesthesia and it is quite an experience in this setting. :D

Actually, in one class I took I had to give a talk. The feedback included comments such as: the rocking made my sea sick, I felt nauseous. Yikes!
