I was always fascinated by the different facial expressions of cartoon characters in books, TV, and movies. Whenever I saw one I particularly liked in a movie, I would pause the movie and just admire the character in that pose for a few minutes; then unpause, or if I found something in a book, I would just stare at it for awhile, trying to commit it to my strong visual memory so I could mentally visualize it whenever I wanted to and make myself happy.
Now that I have a digital camera, I take pictures of my favorite illustrations in books and load them onto my laptop, so I can see them there, as well. I still haven't figured out how to take a screencap of, say, a Youtube video yet tho, booooo.
With the pictures I save on my laptop, I like to go to my Pictures library, pull up a few favorite ones, and then take turns admiring each one. Right now my favorite pictures in my library are some of concept art that Disney animator Jin Kim did for Ralph in Wreck-It Ralph. I have a feeling that when the WIR DVD comes out and I get it, I'm gonna be doing the whole "pause-unpause" thing I described above as I watch.
