I have never had any trouble with them. Your eyes are looking into the distance, but accommodated for an object nearby. Both can be consciously controlled. I guess it's the mismatch that trips people up. There are also 3D stereograms that you can look at, superimpose on each other to see a three-dimensional image. It's kind of like a hologram. All they are, is pictures taken from slightly different perspectives. We used them in geology class to see the three-dimensional structures of various rock formations.

I would try it, but given my sensory issues, my head might explode.

I can normally "do" magic eye pictures with relatively few difficulties. This time the first one gave me a terrible headache then I saw something rather indistinct; at first I thought "tree" but then I "unsaw" that and couldn't decide what it was I was seeing. Is the text image supposed to have a 3d magic eye effect? I couldn't see that at all if so. I noticed the "stop wasting your time" pattern of words but not "get a life" but definitely no 3d effect from the text image.

I never have trouble seeing them, but I just don't know what that first thing is supposed to be!

I saw nothing but the pattern. I felt dizzy as I moved back from the screen.

I've always loved these and can see them pretty easily, although I think it took a lot of practice. I love the text one

That's pretty cool. I found it easy to do, but I've had some practice. :)
