I think he meant it as a joke, but I didn't.I kicked the $hit out of that thing and the top popped off. They had to replace it.
Now that I think about it,that's when they assigned me a caseworker.
 I woulda done the same thing! I sometimes break bottles and stuff when I want to direct it outwards!

For me a meltdown is a post-panic attack frenzy that involves many involuntary motions, words, yelling, shaking, shoving stuff, and a huge surge in strength and adrenaline. After it passes I feel like a completely horrible person or a child and accept the avoidance of the trigger.

These normally only result from sensory overloads for me personally, I'm more likely to respond this way from being sprayed with a hose or touched than I am from being bombarded by emotions or someone's mouth.

Dont you hate it when 3 different people walk up to you and ask you 3 different questions at once and expect answers right away? Or expect you to perform tasks for them at the same time? That drives me nuts and gets me into sensory overload leading to a melt down! I shut myself off and walk away otherwise ill want to say something nasty to them and possibly punch them in the face!

I hate those things and they're rude, I normally tell those people off and let them know how horrible they're acting... But I'm pretty good at speaking my mind and telling people what they can do with their "expectations"... Maybe a little too good at it

Now if they sprayed me with a hose.................. It's going to be a meltdown and there is no stopping it!! !

I suppose melt downs are different things to different people..some express depression and anger..others hurt and rage..and i'm sure a lot in between...for me it's a stage when i feel i can no longer cope with situations..and my head feels as it will explode with the rage and depression i feel..i do get this in regular cycles a lot..although not had one recently
It all depends on wither i can cope with daily life or not!...sometimes i just feel drained with the mundane life i live..and seem unable to change..even after years of trying..that's my idea of a meltdown

That looks more like a shutdown to me, which is a very destructive internalization of the stressful situations that the world heaps upon us. Aspie meltdowns are a very positive thing, consisting of a release of all that stress until it is no longer of any more significance. Look back at my past post history for more thoughts on this. I have written a lot about meltdowns in the past (I think about a year ago). I just found them for you (May 2011)... links below:

I agree, its like when I eat bad/spoild food and get sick from it I induce vomiting to get it out, then I will almost always start feeling well almost right away.

Delaying the meltdown keeps me on the edge for extended amounts of time, problem is the needed meltdown requires a location to happen at and a trigger and that won't likely come at a convenent time or place. Normally I end up shutdown for long periods of time for that reason, its harder to fire someone for a shutdown.

For me meltdowns are usually set off by emotional triggers—stress, anxiety, frustration, anger, etc... Feeling misunderstood is a common one for me, as is frustration; "emotional overload" is a good way of describing it. Depending on the trigger, meltdowns can be expressions of anger or be massive crying fits, or sometimes both. I simultaneously feel better and worse afterward because I've let out a lot of stress, but I've also made a complete fool of myself or made a really big mess (like the time I pulled everything off the bookshelf in my room and threw it all over... ).

Shutdowns are more common for me, and usually involve me hiding in my room for several hours or avoiding having to interact with other humans.

The trick is to have the presence of mind to not do things you know you will really regret(desides the meltdown itself of course), I learned that for the most part thankfully. Verbel abuse is easy to fix compared to rare fine china.

When I meltdown I shout nasty Insults to myself and beat myself physicly when its out of my control I scratch my arms and bite them and punch myself in the face! Otherwise I punch a wall and yell! They sometimes accompany shutdowns as well. My Shutdowns tend to last longer than my meltdowns I get relapses at times. Life sucks that way!
